As others have mentioned, this inconsistency limits our reporting.

When a field is added to the database for any reason, maybe part of the check list for that new field should be it is available in custom reports. We have a list of fields in the database that haven't been added to custom reports and we have created idea labs, asked support to add them.
I'll add these to our list as well. Please, Foundant, have part of the new field process be having it available for reporting.

Please prioritize implementing this change. If other text fields in the profile area, are exportable, it doesn’t make sense that one can be exported in a custom report and the other cannot. This inconsistency limits our reporting capabilities and creates unnecessary and inefficient workarounds. Thank you!

I'm disappointed to see no action taken on this idea in over a year. We record lots of important information about contact info in the Other Detail field, and it is important that this field (both on emails and on mailing addresses) be reportable for building mailing lists. As others have mentioned, this is essential given that the database is unable to accommodate the increasingly nuanced communication preferences that many constituents have nowadays.

Phone Other Detail is the only field that will pull in reporting. The current functionality for Email Other Detail limits it as a text field that can only be viewed on profiles. I would like to pull in reporting the Email Other Detail field. It would be handy to have a list showing which donors won't get the Constant Contact email because they have opted out of Constant Contact. The best place to note their opt out of Constant Contact is the "Other Detail" field and it is inefficient to have to look at each profile individually.

This one field (which already exists, but is not in a reporting object) has the possibility to give our Marketing & Communications Team far more control over our email communication distribution lists.

So having these "other detail" field in a reporting object would allow us to "fine tune" the Do not mail, do not call, do not email with a little more granularity. As profiles can have multiple phones and physical addresses and email addresses. Perhaps a profile doesn't want any communication on one address, however they may prefer the communication on another address. The current setting the Do not mail, Call, nor email are far too broad to be useful.

Would be really great to have the "Other detail" for physical addresses on a reporting object also.
