At our foundation we routinely have fund advisors making multi-year & multi-payment grants. How these grants are presented in the portal is slightly misleading, as it shows the full grant commitment. When fund advisors look, it requires digging into the details to see the payment schedule. This is also true for the grantee presentation in the portal. If the non-profit doesn’t look close enough, it could appear that the full commitment was paid out instead of just the 1st payment. It would help to lessen confusion for the fund holders & grantees if these grants could have the current payment amount shown initially, with further clicking to show the full payment schedule. Either that, or somehow please show the current payment value more prominently to make it clear there are multiple payments.
