Display Organization Evaluations other than Alphabetical
Our board finds that when completing Evaluations, the organizations who are unlucky enough to have names starting with the later letters of the alphabet get less reviewing attention (because you need to scroll down to see them on the screen). If there was a way to adjust the sorting and display of organizations during the evaluation process, it might help level the playing field among applicants being reviewed.
Sorting by date the application was submitted, geographic area or program area would all be helpful, in addition to alphabetical. I'm picturing a drop down box where the Evaluator could select how they would like the organizations sorted. Thanks for considering.

Sara,
In most places in GLM, you can click the column headers to do sorting. It's not as self-evident as I would like it to eventually be, but it is pretty useful. We'll keep working to make it more intuitive,

Hi Chris,
Thank you for responding to my suggestion. I had no idea you click on the column headers of 'Organization Name' and 'Project Name' and reverse the sorting. I will definitely share this information with my board for our next round of evaluations. I hope this will help all our applicants get equal attention.
Thank you,

Hi Sara,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have served on a foundation's evaluation committee, so I definitely understand what you're saying. I decided to review no more than 8-10 request at a sitting after I found that I was giving less and less attention to subsequent requests.
With the current functionality, reviews can sort by other columns (like Project Name) just by clicking on them, which would help "randomize" things a bit. They can also reverse the order of the organizations by clicking on the Organization header. Are your evaluators / board members aware they can do this?
As we continue to rework the user interface and user more of the screen's real estate, I would like to give people the ability to add a custom column that they could use to sort by, etc.
We'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind. In the meantime, if you can answer the question I posed above, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
-chris
