App for ipad
I know I am kinda dreaming here but an app for GLM would be great. The url address is not easy to remember and although there is a link from our web site, it would be nice to have quick access to GLM. I now primarily use my ipad while traveling instead of a laptop.

Hi Erin and Kristen,
Thanks for the suggestion. At this point, a platform-specific application is probably unlikely given the significant amount of overhead in creating and maintaining a separate codebase, not to mention getting an app into Apple's App Store.
I certainly understand the desire to have something more "mobile" friendly. It's probably more likely that at some point we'll develop a better mobile version of GLM that still runs in a web browser. We will also probably take another look at more friendly urls. At this point, neither of these are very high-priority given other work that is needed, but as some of the technologies continue to evolve (i.e. HTML5), the effort to develop this may go down.
Thanks

This is something that I also "dream" about having on my iPhone. I can see where Cory's suggestion is helpful, but I'm wondering if down the road, you could entertain creating an app that might resemble the dashboard once you're in it and give you basic information. For instance, we use Constant Contact to mail our newsletters and surveys and I can get basic information on an app on my iPhone. I know it's a long shot, but it might be something to entertain down the road (could also be a good selling tool from a marketing point of view).

Hi Erin,
I thought I would respond with two ideas that may help you access GLM quicker on an iPad. The iPad allows you to create icons on your home screen; this way you will see the log in page for your GLM site with one tap!
If you want to add GLM to your home screen:
1.) Navigate to your GLM log in page with Safari.
2.) Next, just left of the address bar in the upper left hand corner of your Safari window, tap the icon that looks like a box with an arrow coming out. (On older versions of iOS it is a plus sign)
3.) Then you will see a new icon that says Add to Home Screen.
4.) After tapping Add to Home Screen, give it a name.
5.) Finally, you will see an app icon on your home screen
Users have also found it helpful allowing Safari to auto fill usernames and passwords
Enable auto fill for Safari on iPad:
1.) Tap Settings > Safari > AutoFill
2.) Select "My Info" and locate your information.
3.) Turn "Names and Passwords" On.
*Note: these steps may be different depending on the version of iOS you are running*
