E-Mail Copies
It seems to be that I've heard some discussion about being able to save copies of e-mails within the GLM system, but I'm having no luck in finding that dicussion, under discussions, ideas or the blog....So, in case it hasn't already been suggested, I would like the system to be able to save outgoing e-mails under the inquirer's or applicant's name.
Now that I think about this, it may be an issue of how many e-mails the system would have to store if this function was added, but I figure it's worth putting out there (again, if that's the case).
No need to reply if I've already put my finger on the problem.

Hi Julie,
Correct - the archiving starts with 8/13/2013. There's really no feasible way to capture earlier emails.

I see that this was implemented. Hurray! From what I can see, it looks like it archives emails send beginning today, 8/13/13 but not emails sent before today. Is that correct?

Hi Joan,
In our upcoming 3.8.0 release - which is slated to be in our DEMO environment in the next week to 10 days - we have implemented email history functionality. Most emails going out of the system will be stored and associated with the recipient, their organization, and a request, if applicable.

Optimally, it would be nice to link the e-mails to the specific application (we have lots opf repeat applicants).. But creating a "Sent Items" fold on the Organization Summary page would also work, especially if the e-mails could be listed by date.. I'm really looking forward to working with what you create! Hi Joan,
We've been discussing this issue for some time and recognize the value that it could bring to most of our clients. We're working on a specification and it's likely that we'll roll out a first iteration of this functionality in the first half of 2013. Our current thinking is that outbound emails would be stored in something similar to a "Sent Items" folder under on the Organization Summary page. Please chime in if you have other ideas on how you'd like to see this functionality implemented.
