Supporting documents per application/form
I would love it if we could add supporting documents to an applicant's specific application or form.
Currently, the supporting documents follow the applicant through the follow up forms and other applications, which is not helpful because we currently upload confidential recommendations for specific applications.

Hi Nastassja,
Thanks for the addtional details. I'm assuming when you say that you "only attach them to applications" that you mean you attach them as supporting documents to the entire request (in the Request Documents expandable box that appears on both the Application View and Request Summary pages), correct?
We are looking more closely at the ability to configure a "Letter of Recommendation" question type on forms that may help address this issue. I will keep you posted as we make more progress on defining that feature. I'm assuming if this was treated as "confidential" so that the applicant could not see it, this approach would satisfy your organization's needs. Does the number of documents you upload vary by application, or by foundation process, or by form?
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
The uploaded attachments should only be accessible by an administrator or board member. We attach them after the application is submitted (because the confidential recommendation option is still not yet available). Currently we only attach them to applications.
Thanks,
Nastassja

Hi Nastassja,
Thanks for the suggestion. It's not one I've heard before, and given our current priorities, it's probably not something we'll be looking at in the short-term. However, it would be helpful to know a bit more about your particular use case.
When you say you "currently upload confidential recommendations for specific applications", who has (or should have) access to the uploaded documents? And when in the work flow are they accessed? Also, would you want to be able to attach them to any form - LOI, Application, and Follow-ups?
Thanks for taking the time to post a new idea, and I look forward to hearing more details,
-chris
