Batch Approval
It would be incredibly helpful and MUCH more efficient to have the option to batch approve requests. We are currently having to do single users each taking about 5-6 steps to complete. When we have dozens of applicants to approve this is terribly inefficient and frustrating.
With a batch approval option I could do the step once for dozens of applicants a time saving my team hours of time and repetitive work that should be automated.
Thanks!

I want to put my thoughts in on this too, as I see there are a couple of conversations about the batch approval step being requested.
I don't know if others are using the Approval Draft step, but it makes sense to me that once you have the list of your Approvals in Draft, you should then have the option to Batch Approve in the batch options toggle. Perhaps there is supposed to be another way to do this?
I can explain my steps in the approval process if this helps?...
I do a lot of the preliminary work for the approval of requests while the request is in Approval Draft. Once the list is finally approved, then I just want to batch approve and be on my way. Not sure if others work in this manner, and if not, perhaps I need some other ideas...my first thought was just Batch Approve from Approval Draft. (Thanks for adding that step by the way!)
Is this a possibility, or do I need to change my method?

That helps a bunch, Meredith & Emily. We've definitely heard requests for the ability to assign follow-up forms in batch so now I have a much better understanding of your situation. I'll make sure this is on the list of considerations for future batch functionality.

Hi Emily & Daren -- Like Emily the variable is grant amount. Everything else in a given grant process would be the same (grant report assignments, etc.).

Hi Daren:
We would definitely use batch approval. Although, we would still need to manually enter the grant amount, in general, all of the other info (follow ups) would be the same for that process. For payment due date and grant date, we need a little more clarification on these in general- we are still manually entering grants into FIMS as the import process we have found to be difficult- and it seems to quicker to manually enter the grants.
So, the only one-off parameter for us would be the grant amount- everything else within a process is the same.
Thanks!

Emily & Meredith,
This is good feedback and we'd like to know more. To be honest, batch approval functionality has not been very high on our list since we felt there are so many individual and unique parameters that need to be set for each approved grant -- i.e., grant amount, payment due date, due dates for follow-up forms, assigned user for follow-up forms, etc. Our current batch functionality is designed to do the exact same action to all selected items so it's not designed to handle situations with many one-off parameters. Please tell us more about your vision for batch approvals.

I know we can currently batch DECLINE applications- would it be possible to batch APPROVE applications as well?
