Formula Fields Breaking Date Recognition in Reporting
Hi Idea Lab! I'm having an ongoing issue when it comes to creating reports that have a date field that has been modified with a formula. E.G., I have grants that have an "Award Period End Date" and a "Amended Award Period End Date" for those that have been extended. In reporting, I can configure it so that I see one column that displays the original end date is if it has not been modified, or an amended end date is if it has been modified. However, even though I specify the output as a date field, the reporting feature looses the ability to recognize the information in the formula column as dates. Therefore, I cannot sort by them, or filter them with a date range. I've spent a good amount of time with my CSM and the success team on this and we've found via the developers that it's not a bug - it's just something that the GLM reporting feature cannot do. I would LOVE the ability for reporting to recognize date fields as dates in a formula column! It would greatly improve our workflows if we could rely on accuracy with this function!
