  1. Drill down in financial reports does not include sub-accounts

When I drill down on a number in a financial report (income statement, for example), if any transactions exist in a sub-account included in that number, those transactions are not included in the drill down detail that appears. The detail that appears should agree to the number in the original financial report.

  2. Fund Statement Date

We have our letter built into our fund statements. The fund statement that shows in the "Fund Statements (Calendar Year)" section of the fund page should be a static pdf file. Not a file that re-generates the date each time it is clicked on. The statement that is marked as "reviewed" on should be the same document anyone else would see if they went to click on it for later use, since that is what would have been mailed to the donor.

  3. Recurring Grants

Would like a better, bolder, way to see recurring grants through fund advisor portal. Currently fund advisors can only see if their recurring grants listed on the Grant Request Tab and if they scroll to the bottom. Honestly, they are going to look at the Grants tab, not Grants Request tab for that information. Any recurring grant that we set administratively doesn't appear at all in their portal which is causing confusion as to whether or not we've done what was asked of us. There is also no way to review from the fund advisor portal, the details of the…

  4. Date Stamp Fund Advisor First Logs In

We want to push our donors to the Donor Portal for fund statements. We have marked all of current portal users as "online" fund statements but going forward, we will need to know when additional fund advisors begin using their account so we can switch them over to "online" statements. It would be helpful if we could find all those that have created a password since a certain date. Since this isn't available, we're having to export the fund advisor CSV and note the date. Then down the road we will export a new list and have to compare the…

In the Fund Advisor table, there is now a Last Login column to help manage this process. If the column titled Password is blank, the Fund Advisor has not created their account yet.

Stay tuned for a Feature Release on 9/1. Soon there will be a Fund Advisor Log similar to an Internal User log.

  5. A 'definition' list of what each 'object' under the permissions/groups means.

For example: the difference between Account and Financials and Budget. If I give someone view access to Account and full access to financials and no access to budget - what are they getting access to exactly? This helps make sure our groups are providing our employees with the correct access to all objects they need.

  6. Income statement - YTD over YTD comparison

We appreciate being able to run YOY comparisons, but we would like the ability to do a little more fine-tuning of the dates for comparative purposes. Currently, we can only run a full year comparison (or a full year vs a partial year).

As an example, what if we wanted to run a YTD report for Q3... and compare that to the same YTD period for the prior year?

If we try and enter 1/1/2018 - 9/30/2019 and select YOY, we get a report comparing a full year to a partial year. It shows us figures for 1/1/2018 - 12/31/2018…

  7. Test System Emails Before Sending

We need a way to test send emails from the system, particularly those that go with fund statements. Even though we can see the preview in Content, this doesn't simulate how different email providers will handle the email. Both times we've sent out our quarterly fund statements, despite our best efforts, we realize a mistake only after seeing it hit fund advisors' actual inboxes.

  8. Stripe duplicates

Currently, online donations via Stripe create a New Profile if the donor enters different data in any of these four fields: First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email. For orgs that receive numerous online gifts, the duplicates can quickly become a nightmare. We suggest the Stripe-CSuite data matching be modified to look for a match on 2 of 3 fields - say, last name, street address or email address, to reduce the number of duplicate profiles.

    Please also:
    - add 'date created', and the ability to sort by date created in the duplicates form
    -devise a bulk de-deduping process

  9. Historical grants - Newest to Oldest

When viewing the historical grants, it would be great if they sorted in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest) instead of oldest first.

  11. ACH payment option

At some point, do you think you will add an ACH payment option that processes through or syncs with CSuite? This would eliminate entering payments twice - once through CSuite and once through our bank's Bill Pay portal.

  13. Enhancement to templates

Desired change: Enhance how organization contact name / address is processed in templates

Currently: there is not a field that will pull the contact name AND the organization name for our donation letters. Any field I use to include organization name creates a blank space when the donor does not have an organization listed.

For donation letters I would like to include at the top of each letter:
Donors Name (Mr. and Mrs. John Smith)
Organization Name IF APPLICABLE (Food Pantry)
    Street Address (123 Main Street)
City State Zip (Toledo, OH 43604)

A person's title would also be ideal but…

  14. Distributions - Use net asset balance rather than total asset balance

Is it possible to include an option to use net asset balance rather than total asset balance in the distribution calculation? Our spending policy says to use net asset balance. Thank you!

  15. Add "Attach File" to Bank Reconciliations

Attaching/uploading a copy of the actual bank statement directly to the bank reconciliation file created gives all the documentation needed at all levels of this process. The "Attach File" option is available in other transaction processes within CSuite...bank reconciliations should be included as well.

  16. Add fields to sync between glm and C-Suite

We are implementing the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) coding system for our grants. As such there is a custom field in our GLM application form for the "Project Taxonomy Code", but this field does not carry over when GLM grants are synced to CS and we consequently have to re-choose the taxonomy code in the "Grant Type" box in CS. Can you please add the functionality to somehow sync custom fields between CS and GLM?

  17. Alert to pay multi year grants

For multi-year grants, it would be nice to have a way to be alert to grant payments that need to be initiated.

The ability to identify multi-year grant payments should be resolved. Payment date was added as a column in the Grant Voucher Bucket for easier identification. It was also added as a filter, so a User can filter on Payment Date after mm/dd/yy and take a Batch action. In Q4 2021, the payment date will toggle to red if the date has passed.

  18. Statement Intervals

Has any thought been given to having "Semi Annual" as an option for statement intervals? Currently the options are Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly.

  19. Adding Agency Funds liability amount to Balance Sheet

One of the functions of Community Foundations is to do the back office work for some of the not-for-profits in our area – as is the case for most of our agency funds. The balance sheet is used as an assets under management tool which is why we include our agency funds in our asset total BUT they are not our true assets which is the need for the liability number to show on the balance sheet. Our ability to print financials right out of our software is very important to us and is a requirement for our grantees to…

The way this will be implemented first is going to be a new drop down under the balance sheet. You currently have one for agency that breaks it up into agency and non-agency numbers. The new one will be called “Agency-Liab” (or something like that) that will do some calculations for you. In the liabilities section, it will add a line called “Agency Fund Liability” that will be the total of the assets – liabilities for agency funds. In the equity section, it would decrease the equity account balances (and remove the links) by the amount for agency funds in those lines.

Would that cover what you need?
