Custom Field on Notes
It would be great to create custom fields on notes. This way we can add additional tracking and reporting to those notes rather than creating a long list of types or ensuring that people put specific words in their notes. For example, tracking if a specific meeting matched certain criteria that was tied to metrics.

CSuite is very note-friendly. It is easy to add a lot of notes to a lot of areas of the database. This is wonderful, but, as the original poster pointed out, there are times when it would be useful to be able to filter by more than "Who made the note?", "What kind of record is the note attached to?", "What is the note type?", "Did we do a good job using consistent key words?", etc.
If we could make custom fields on notes, then each organization could workshop some new options for note sorting for themselves.

Additionally, I believe this would make the note feature much more competitive with Salesforce as with the "log a call" feature there we are able to customize and add layers of tracking. An important aspect is consistency across tracking and by having people select dropdowns/checkmarks/etc in custom fields on a note we can make the burden of note tracking a lot less and improve consistency. Right now, I have to come up with a structure using the note types and using specific keywords in notes in order to have reporting of metrics. But, I'll be limited to how much I can filter those reports in the built in custom reports. I think it would be a much improved quality of life feature for those of us that have to do a lot of tracking.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Smith's aforementioned comment. The impact of this feature would be very notable.

This would be very helpful to us as well. The task/note type field is not enough to track the combinations of interactions we are noting on profiles and other records. We unfortunately have an additional form outside of CSuite to supplement some of the needs here, so custom field options simplify the recording process and reporting process.
