Combine credit card fees with the donation amount
Instead of having two separate "entries" for a donation when a donor is covering the CC fees, it would be great for those two numbers to be combined and show as one donation. When this process generates two donations, i.e., $500 donation and $23.50 in credit card fees, when you run a report for the Fund Advisor to update them on the number of donations that the Fund received, the number is not accurate because it is counting some of donations as two.

The dashboards and quick reports are great, but every time covering the credit card fee creates a new donation which heavily inflates our donation count. It would be great if the "Online Donation-Processing Fee Donation" weren't included in the number of donations. Or even better if it was combined into one donation as suggested above.

Would love to see the online donation credit card processing fee be pulled with the original online donation, not separated out with two donations. Thanks!

I disagree-we need two seperate transactions, need the fees to offset credit card fees and not count as part of the donation.

We had this problem, so we created a Credit Card Fee Fund so the CC fee isn’t attributed to the actual fund.

I may be more of a minority, but I actually like having the fees separated so that we can track what those expenses are. It's simple to sort them out in a report. If you run a custom report under "Donations" and select "Description" as one of your fields, it will list any fee as "Online Donation-Processing Fee Donation" and can be filtered out in C-Suite or Excel.
If this does get changed, could there be an option to keep it as is for those of us who like having the detail of CC fees?

I know there are probably layers to this and so this should proceed with caution. But I agree, it created 2 records that count twice in donation reports. Also, no only the count is wrong - but it misleads them in how much is raised because they don't see the credit fee charge in the fund portal (I would have to run an income report for them). Related to this - My other issue is when I use the TICKET feature - if someone covers the cc fee, it creates a donation record automatically. Some tickets are not donations -but other revenue.

Recording the fee as an additional gift also results in more backend work reconciling gifts and making corrections to for incorrect profile information pulled in from Stripe.
One gift would be more efficient to process
