Recognize soft credits on donor profiles
We should be able to add soft credit to a donation record and it appears on the donor profile. Otherwise it does not count unless in a report.

I agree with Sally Gillespie's comment below. We have churches that mail us donation checks. They are receiptable donations (although the church is a nonprofit and technically does not need a receipt). We want the gift from the Church to be recognized as RECEIPTABLE. However, we want to soft credit the donors who gave donations TO the church that made up the church's donation amount. Right now, it looks like the gift from the Church is NOT RECEIPTABLE because it has to be entered as an advised donation. This is incorrect and messing things up for us. The donor who gave a gift to the Church can have the soft credit noted, which is NOT RECEIPTABLE, but the Church's record should say RECEIPTABLE.

It would be ideal if soft credits could be listed under the profile's donor record in a similar manner to how Advised donations show up. It is critical that we be able to see an individual's or household's entire donor footprint when looking at their profile record

Strongly agree! It would be nice if these showed up just like advised donations.

We should also be able to send a letter to a soft credit donor.

Strongly agree - being able to view any of the soft credited donations in a donor profile would give such a clearer and accurate picture of their history with our org. Would open up a lot of uses.

Agreed, the new 'soft credit' is not at all useful if not shown on the donor record.

It would be great if when adding a person/business/org as a soft credit to a donation record that it appeared on the original donor record as well as appear in the fund holder's portal as a field just like they see donation advisor. Otherwise, the soft credit only seems to appear on the donation record in Csuite, but not in anything that the donor or fund holder could see.
