Including an attachment with an email template
It would be really nice to have the capability to add an attachment to an email template. We have set up a "Follow Up Reminder" email template to be used when final reports are due. We request that budget summaries are presented in a specific format. I think it would help our grantees if they had an example to follow.

Regarding documents for Third Parties:
Currently our grantees are having to send an additional email with their grant contracts attached to their Third Parties (Principals & School District authorized officials or Fiscal Receivers) This email is in addition to the emails they compose within the grant contract packet to obtain electronic signatures.
It would be extremely helpful to our grantees if they could add a document to their Third Party composed email, so it is an all in one communication (electronic signature link, instructions/message, attached grant contract) instead of three separate emails.

I agree this would be really great. It's kind of silly that it's not already available.

I would like to be able to do this as well. We have a form that we cannot use Foundant for (due to the sensitivity of information), but would like to be able to send it automatically.
In addition, it would be helpful if the options for uploading to a non template email included any documents that are already attached to a grant. For example, we upload an award letter to each grant, and it is unique to each grantee (using a merge template with minor modification). We are attempting to transition away from sending paper award letters, but in order to do that it is important that we are able to send the award letter as an attachment directly to a grantee. Currently, to do that we would need to upload it to the non-template email, attach, and send. I believe it would be much easier if the already uploaded request documents were available attachments.
Thanks for considering,

I would like to be able to do this, for instance my application has about 5-6 templates that the applicant needs to download. It would be nice to be able to send these through the template instead of doing it manually.

I agree! Anything that makes it easier for grantees to get the information out is a plus! It is great to be able to filter everything in through the same system.

Hi, I would like to agree with Dee Ann's suggestion!
We have always sent a Word version of our online report form attached to our report reminder emails, so that grantees can preview the form, and so that they can draft their answers right in the Word document and then paste them in to the online form if they choose.
We'd love to continue doing that with our auto report reminder emails through Foundant! Hoping this may be a quick fix as Chris mentions above.
Thanks,

Hi Dee Ann,
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I've heard this before, but I can understand how it makes sense. It's not that high of a priority, but I can bring it up to our product team for discussion. It seems like something that shouldn't be that high effort, so it might be something we can use as "filler" in one of our future releases. If we decide to work on it, we'll make sure it's communicated in release notes for the release it goes in.
Thanks,
-chris
