Payment Address
Is there a place to enter the check payment address? If not how have others worked around it.

Thank you for getting this worked on; however, I'm surprised this was not implemented prior since cutting checks, addresses normally print on payments. Also, just realized it was posted in 2012 and it's been under construction since 7/2014 and this is still in the works over 3 years later. Hopefully by New Years 2017 this could be completed? Thank you.

That said... including it on our Follow-Up Form is NOT ideal - that adds an extra step in staff review. I am hoping that Lynn's suggestion of multiple addresses - physical, mailing and payment - will be implemented.

YES.

For some of our grantee organizations, the payment address may change from year to year. (The organization may be volunteer run, using the home address of the latest board president, etc.) So we have a "Address to Send Payment" question on our Follow-Up Form.

I like the idea of the registration page having a way to highlight whether an address is a mailing address, a physical address, or a payment address (in case that may be different than the mailing address. We often will hand deliver checks so having a physical address is important too.

This is how we handle this issue since the only physical thing we send an organization anymore is the check:
On the organization registration page under the address information we have an instruction that says "Payment will be sent here" so it is up to the applicant to enter the correct payment address. Not sure if that is helpful for your situation but so far it has worked for us.

Cheryl,
How we handle an Organization's information is something we are currently discussing. This would likely be part of a larger development effort to redesign our registration page(s) to allow you to capture distinct information about the applicant, the executive director of the organization and the organization. I will add your suggestion that we allow Payment address to be included for those people who would like it to be available.
I do not have a specific time frame on when you should expect to see this work completed but it is something we are actively researching in order to provide clear guidelines to our development team of what our client's needs are in this area. If you any other specific feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Best,

That really doesn't work so wonderfully when it comes time to mail out the checks. It needs to be a field that can be pulled up in a report. Otherwise, it is a long drawn out process of checking each and every application to check for a mailing address. We've had the same issue with organization name to make our grant checks out to (because of coalitions, fiscal sponsors, etc). We added it to the application but now we have to search each approved application to check for the name. There should be a better way to capture this sort of information.

Hi Kyle,
There is not a specific place to enter the check payment address in the software however below are a few ideas:
1. Enter the information in the payment comment box
2. Create a question on your form that asks for that information
3. Include it in your grant agreement
If you have any further questions or ideas please reach out to me via email, mailto:support@foundant.com .
Thanks,
