Board Packets
Hello Community Members,
One of the clients that I have been training recently had a good question for me today and that is how do other Foundant clients manage their board books. This foundation would like to know where you might post the following documents for the Board to access but also allow Board Members or Trustees to add notes to those document for others to see:
•Minutes from previous board meetings
•Agenda for the upcoming meeting
•Monthly Financial Report
•Executive Directors Report
•Etc..
If you have ideas or suggestions please send them my way.
Thank you,
Betty Bloomer

Thank you all for adding to this discussion. Well, it looks like we have come full circle since I posted this back on May 7, 2012.
We have added a Shared Documents area to GLM. This is where administrators can upload documents and then they can give access to those documents to either Staff Evaporators or Board Members or both. The documents that might be included but are not limited to are:
•Minutes from previous board meetings
•Agenda for the upcoming meeting
•Monthly Financial Report
•Executive Directors Report
•Etc..
Please let us know if you have further questions on one of the latest new features in GLM.
Thank you,
Betty

We are also interested in this document storage - it's been something we've been thinking about but didn't know how to manage. Thank you.

We're new to GLM so we are still learning/changing things up. Prior to our move, we piloted using Dropbox for our board book. 5 out of the 7 of us are open to the technology. Two still prefer a paper board book. Right now we are all using the same username/password on Dropbox. We will get feedback at our next board meeting (next week) and then will decide what to change/modify.

I'm glad to hear this is in the works as we'd be interested in seeing this as well. Being we're a small foundation the cost of signing on with Board Effect seems high but having a portal in GLM would be great.

Humanities Nebraska is interested in having a place to post board materials too. A colleague in our office thought she heard at a July 2012 meeting that Foundant would be working at providing this possibility. Any headway on that?
