tracking email correspondence sent to organizations
I would like to be able to open an organization's record and see what email correspondence I have sent them and when.

Thanks Karin. I passed your feedback on to the rest of the development team. Glad it's making a positive difference for you :-)

This is a love letter! I just noticed the new email history feature. Hoorah! It was the most crucial missing piece for me until this update. Thank you, thank you!!

I agree this would be a terrific feature, especially because we communicate with grantees and applicants exclusively through email. It would be very helpful to see a complete record of emails sent and received when opening up an organization's file in GLM.

hris,
I can't wait for this to go live! I have had the hardest time trying to search within the dedicated email address for a particular message since so many have the same subject line.
I also agree with Meredith that it will take some discipline to remember to log phone calls or snail mail manually but how very helpful that will be in keeping track of all correspondance!
Thanks!!

Hi all,
In our upcoming 3.8.0 release - which is slated to be in our DEMO environment in the next week to 10 days - we have implemented email history functionality. Most emails going out of the system will be stored and associated with the recipient, their organization, and a request, if applicable.
Please keep an eye out for announcements regarding the upcoming release. We look forward to feedback on the improvements. Thanks

Hi Raymond --
I like to idea of a more complete audit recrd that would include phone calls, emails, hard copy correspondence. It would take discipline for us to manually enter a record of a phone call -- but would ultimately be helpful.

Auditing in general is definitely on our list. We'd also like to add the ability for you to add other phone calls and other communications as well as a more complete audit trail on Request and Grant activity. I'd love to hear more about what other areas folks would like to see audited as well as the informaiton in the audit entries. Thank you for your thoughts so far Angie, Meredith and Leslie!

I agree. The cc option isn't especially helpful since it takes a great deal more time to search for a specific message.

I second this -- right now I cc: a dedicated email address on all critical email communications, which works -- but it woul be infinitely more valubale to capture that correpondence within the organization -- or better the specific application's -- record
