Adding documents and attachments to an application from the application page (not only the project page
There are many applications that we are adding documents to, especially confidential recommendations and transcripts. Right now, we need to go to the Project and add the documents from the user page -- you cannot add them to the application and/or user from their Submitted/Draft application. It would be very helpful if we could add documents directly from the application, whether it is in Draft, Submitted, or Completed. We notice that you are able to add documents directly from the application for a Completed application, but we would like this option to be available for Submitted and Draft applications, as well.

Hi Nastassja,
Thanks for the additional information. I'll bring this up to our product team. Given other features in the works, I'm guessing it won't be a very high priority, but it may be something we can use as filler if the effort is small enough and the team agrees.

We would like it for convenience and efficiency. If we were able to add supporting documents to the overall application while we are viewing it (whether it is in Draft or Submitted -- we can already do this when we are looking at a complete application), it would save time. Right now we can only add supporting documents from the request summary page and the application view for a complete application.

Hi Nastassja,
Thanks for the suggestion. If I understand correctly, you're just wanting to be able to add "supporting documents" for a request, not question-specific documents (i.e. for file upload questions), correct? What is your motivation for adding these documents when a request is in Draft or Submitted? Is it convenience or is there another reason, or is it just because you can currently add documents on the request summary page at any status, so it makes sense to be able to add them on the Application page?
Let me know your answers. I can then discuss this with our product team and see why we've limited the functionality in the way we have.
Thanks again
