Deleting an organization entirely

I'd like to request the ability to delete an organization entirely, even if the organization had an application previously. I am unable to permanently delete the organization, even though the request has been deleted because the system still thinks there is an application attached to that organization. We have several organizations that began requests but have either left them blank or partially filled in. I've deleted the requests but would like to delete the organizations altogether as they are not eligible for our grants and will not be able to apply.

    I used to be able to delete organization and now I can't even though there is nothing attached. After trying to delete it for 3 minutes, a pop up comes up and says there is something attached when there isn't. I can merge them but then need to go in and deactivate the user that was in the old one because you can't delete them.

    Also, the reason why there are duplicate orgs that we need to delete is because of the message for duplicate emails. New users forget that they have previously registered, they go to create a new account and then receive a message that their email is already being used. So the user just creates an account with a different email. Then we have duplicate organization records and we cannot delete the extra one. We can merge the two organizations but then we still have duplicate contacts for the same person.

    Would be great to also be able to merge duplicate contacts.

    Is there any update on this idea from Foundant? As our system grows bigger and bigger I'd like to be able to delete users and organizations.

    I'd like to be able to do this, as well. We have a number of applicants who created accounts with gibberish names & then started an application, just to see what it looked like so as to decide whether or not to create an actual account.

    I'd very much like to be able to do this as well. It is impossible to get rid of the Guidestar history which is what makes you unable to delete the organization even after moving all the users and applications somewhere else! This comes up when people create duplicate organizations by accident.

    It's so strange - I could swear that we used to be able to delete organizations after we deleted any applications they created - but now, if there was ever an application, we can't delete them. This seems like going backwards in functionality, and surprised me...
