Due Dates, Times, and Hard Deadline. If it's not a Hard Deadline, why the time?
I love that we can have Due Dates on different forms in our process and can set a Hard Deadline on forms in the stages of the process, but one area that we have a "Due Date" that acts as more of a "suggested time frame" is in the Follow Up. Here, we really do not care for a Hard Deadline, and that is toggled off. I wish that there is also a way to toggle off the time option though -it's unnecessary and extra work!
What we have seen is that when we add new forms for the process, such as an additional/replaced follow-up, we have to either go with the suggested Midnight time or do a bunch of clicking to set up a time. In the end, there is no point in having a time appear.
I like the soft deadline, where folks can submit after the timeframe, but really it is confusing to applicants when they see the hour and minute timeframe come up, and it creates more clicks in the system when adding something to a request. Especially since there is no Batch Assign for Follow Ups (which, by now, I wish this could be a thing).
Unfortunately, until we get batch assigning follow ups, and still have to deal with selecting specific times for something that doesn't need a time, we will just have extra work to do. Time spent not explaining to applicants about the timeframe being irrelevant, is time saved (and clicks saved too).

This is my issue exactly. I can understand why it is nice to have the OPTION of a time due in the system, but I would really really appreciate being able to turn it off!! It's just confusing for the applicants (suggesting that we care when we don't, and stressing them out) and way more work (clicks) for me when assigning follow ups. It also shows up on pre-existing merge templates now, where I don't want it, and I usually just manually delete. Is the foundant team working on a way to make times due optional/removable if we don't want them? Seems like there should be a place in the process manager for each process where we could just turn this off (or set a default time, if we do care). Thanks!!
