Fund statement - show investment strategy as a pie chart or table
Thank you for recently adding a code so that we can insert the name of a fund's investment strategy on the Fund Statement.
We would love this to be expanded a bit... could you also develop a way for us to display a CHART showing the underlying percentage by account, making up that investment strategy?
Probably like a lot of other Community Foundations, we have 4 investment pools. Each "investment strategy" is defined as whatever percentage a fund has invested in each of the 4 available pools.
I would love a pie chart, but even just a table. Something showing the underlying breakdown, rather than just the name of their investment strategy, would be much preferred to display on a Fund Statement. The names themselves don't mean much to people outside our organization.
For example, we have an investment strategy called: INT 10 LT 25 ST 50 SRI 15. That doesn't look very nice by itself; even if we were to stop abbreviating the names it would require some explanation.
We would love to instead be able to show something similar to the below on our Fund Statement (which is how this particular investment strategy is defined in our setup).
INVESTMENT ALLOCATION:
13040-Investment Asset :: INV-Short Term Pool (A) 50%
13000-Investment Asset :: INV-Long Term Pool (A) 25%
13020-Investment Asset :: INV-Socially Resp. Pool (A) 15%
13030-Investment Asset :: INV-Intermediate Pool (A) 10%
To make this idea really work well, it would be wonderful if you could include the ability to have a "public name" for our GL accounts. That way we wouldn't also be displaying our above GL numbers.
