Multiple Email Options for Communications
When individuals unsubscribe from Mailchimp emails, it is impossible to discern if they want to unsubscribe just from marketing/ communication emails and who should just simply be marked "do not email". If Foundant could add choices on emails that indicates something to the effect of, "Marketing Emails" and/or "Foundation business" as boxes to check as options, similar to "mailing" or "inactive" for mailing addresses, that would be very helpful. Currently, if someone unsubscribes from a MailChimp blast, there is no way to realistically remove that person from marketing email blasts unless you go 1-by-1 and remove them from every campaign created that is then linked to MailChimp. The last report we got of unsubscribes was over 400 profiles in length and we would need to cross-reference this list each time, for each campaign. That is not a workaround we, or any nonprofit, is capable of. If Foundant had the option though to mark a record's email as wanting to receive or opt-out of MailChimp emails, but still wants to keep receiving emails about fund statements, tax receipts, or other 'foundation business' this would be a great proactive step! To continue that idea, if bulk updates to this sort of feature to a list of records also was feasible, this would greatly enhance our database management goals of keeping our records updated and 'clean'.

We also struggle to manage varying communication preferences, especially as we'd like to do so without creating an unmanageable number of profile type codes. It would be great to classify profiles based on common donor preferences like "no solicitation," "no newsletter," or "no mass communications." We are committed both to our marketing strategy and to our donors' communications wishes, but it would be a lot easier to manage both of these priorities if there were some tools in our database for doing so.
It would also be nice to see more communication options applicable to individual mailing addresses or email addresses e.g. newsletter address, statement address, mass mailing address (along the lines of the current Pay, Mail, and Primary options).
