Suggestion for Multi-Fund Grant Distribution in C-Suite
To enhance our grant funding process, I recommend implementing a feature that allows us to batch multiple funds for a cycle of grants. This would enable us to:
Select Multiple Funds: When bringing over a cycle of grants, we should have the option to select multiple funds for distribution.
Automated Fund Distribution: C-Suite should automatically calculate and distribute the correct amounts from each selected fund to the respective grants. This would streamline the process and reduce manual errors in fund allocation.
By enabling these features, we can improve efficiency and ensure accurate funding across multiple grants, making the overall process smoother for our team.
Do you utilize the fund beneficiary field on the fund? After setting these up, you can create grants in bulk once spendable is posted. Here is the link to the help article: https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405347700887-Create-and-Edit-Fund-Beneficiaries

Hi Holly,
When we use multiple funds to pay for a single grant—especially during our competitive grant cycles—it can get quite complex. We often allocate discretionary funds or funds based on specific fields of interest, which makes initial calculations straightforward. However, as we progress and start distributing funds across 60+ grants, we frequently run into situations where one fund runs out of money, necessitating transfers from another fund.
Since we typically don’t regrant to the same grantees or repeat amounts, a feature that allows us to match funds to grants in bulk would be incredibly helpful. This would automate the fund-matching process and alleviate the burden of manual calculations, making it much easier to manage our grant allocations.
Thank you! funds to grants in bulk could be helpful as it would do the fund matching for us.
