I have worked with a couple of clients that want budget tables to track remaining grant balances against expenses. Being able to enter a regex that converts a number to a negative number would allow for this, when using the summing row feature. For example, Row 1 captures the amount awarded for each budget category. Row 2 the client enters how much was spent in each category, and the regex converts that number into a negative. Row 3 is a summing row that now displays for the client and applicant how much is left to spend in each budget category.
