Reorder email templates
I would like to rearrange the order of my email templates. That would allow groupings by process instead of by date of creation.

Hi all,
This is in Production with the 5.4.0 release. Hope it improves your GLM experience. Thanks again for the feedback,

Hi Kathryn,
To answer your question, no, you will not need to create new templates for each process. However, if you archive a template that is a notification, it will not be available to be assigned to new processes. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the question,

Hi Chris,
Thank you for asking for comments. This sounds great. If we can drag the email templates, I won't need to continually resort them. If we can "Un Archive" a template, that will be helpful if we find we need to re-use it.My only question is: Will we have to create new templates for each process as we do now with forms?

Hi all,
We are looking at a couple enhancements to the email template functionality. For the 5.3 release, tentatively scheduled for sometime in June:
- Add the ability to copy an email templateFor the 5.4 release, tentatively scheduled for sometime in July:
- Add the ability to archive email templates
- Add the ability to reorder email templates (using drag and drop like on the Process Manager pages)
- Add a "search box" similar to the search box in reporting (where the results are immediate)Couple observations:
1. To be able to reorder email templates using drag and drop, we'll need to remove the ability to sort by name / subject.
2. If a template that is marked as a notification is archived, it will not be available to be selected in the Process Manager. One question:
1. Should you be able to archive a template that is being used by a process as a notification?
- My thought is that you should. It will continue to work with that process, but just won't be available to be added to other processes. If you have any feedback, please let me know! And thanks again for your suggestions.

I would really appreciate this option- as we can develop specific letters based on Process, it seems we should be able to group them in folders on the Templates screen.

I'd like to see this option as well. In addition, I'd like to be able to create folders for templates and attachments to keep them organized like we can for Shared Documents.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that.

That would be nice to have... We do this (stop-gap measure) by putting a brief code (a few letters) at the beginning of the template name. Then we sort by template name.
