"On Hold"
Occassionally, we have an applicant who has either applied too early in their need, or perhaps we need to put that applicatoin on hold for any number of reasons. So my question is this: Is there a status along those lines for applications we need to place "on hold"? Anyone else have this need?

We would also like to have a way to put grants on hold. One example - we often fund strategic planning for our grantees, but sometimes hold funding until their board reaches the number of members required by their bylaws. Putting the grant on hold would be very helpful.

Oops, I meant to say that we store the request in the "Complete" section after submission. If it went through an evaluation we might put it in "Closed" -just to clarify on that!

I would love to have an "on hold" or "pending" bucket. Tow thoughts on this:(1) We have a period in our LOI process where I earmark certain applicants for declination. I then send out a list to our Board to ensure that I am not turning away anyone's pet cause that they forgot to tell me about. I give them a little grace period before finalizing the declinations. I have a work-around for this which does work okay -- so I share it in the case it is helpful to you:I change the project name of the pending applicant to include an asterisk at the front to make it easy for me to spot on the list (e.g., "*Children's Programs"), and mark the applicant "complete," and send the applicant an email acknowledging receipt of application, and letting them know it is under review. I then circle back and approve or decline after the Board has had its grace period to review my proposed declinations.(2) We are talking about a strategic operational shift of moving to a rolling submission process (versus our behemoth once-annual process). Having a "hold" or "pending" bucket would be invaluable for me in this case, and is really different from the "complete" status. Thanks for raising issue!

We have this issue occasionally. When this happens we essentially "store" the request in the Closed section, but we would like to have a way to flag the request as well, so we know why it is in the Closed section.
We haven't considered having a "Hold" area before, which could work as well.
