Submission Confirmation for Applicants
It would be wonderful if the Foundant system would generate an automatic email to applicants confirming that their application or follow up has been submitted through the system!

Hi Betty - with the latest (3.7) upgrade, this is no longer the complete list of instructions - the custhelp.com entry will need to be updated. The directions need to include something like "Click Process Manager on the left, select the process you are working with, click Set Process Notifications, then select the email template in the drop-down window besides the relevant form."

That's a great idea to post the instructions for setting up automated emails.
Here are the steps as well as a link to the complete details:
1.Create your email template.
2.At the bottom of the email template there will be a drop down box that says Email Notification Events.
3.Select Submission Verification, Form Submitted, Evaluation Pending, or Follow Up Reminder. •Submission Verification notifies Applicants when they submit an LOI, Application, or Follow-up to verify that it has been received.
•Form Submitted notifies Administrators when applicants submit an LOI, Application, or Follow-up.
•Evaluation Pending sends an email to the Evaluators telling them there is an application waiting to be evaluated in their site.
•Follow Up Reminder sends an email to the Applicant telling them they have a follow up due in two weeks and they need to login and complete it.
4.Select Auto Send and Active.
5.Click Save.

A very timely question because I have the same request! I don't see how to set up an automated notification when I create a new template. It would be helpful to post the steps vs having each user submit an incident to the support email.

Hi Kristy,
Thank you for posting a request in the Idea Lab. You are in luck, the software has this capability. In the email templates you have the option to set up a template as an automated notification that is a submission verification. Once the template is set up the email will automatically send to applicants and grantees when they have submitted a form (LOI, Application or Follow Up) in the software.
