Applicant Dashboard Organization

As well as using Foundant GLM as an Administrator, I use it as an applicant. Several of the foundations I apply to use Foundant, which is great. One thing I don't like is the Applicant's Dashboard page. One community foundation in the area is the "mother" to 12 others, and I have applied to 6 of these as well as the "mother" foundation. My dashboard is a cluttered mess of applications in several different stages. Yes, they are arranged in order of application date, but that's the only organization there is. I only have 1 year's worth of applications (11 separate requests), and this mess will only worsen as more applications accumulate. It would be nice if you had a search function and/or various buckets (application draft, application submitted, Decisions, Follow Up Draft, Follow Up Submitted, Closed) to organize all these requests, just like for Administrators of Foundant GLM.

    Hi Leslie,

    Thanks for the suggestion. We have discussed how we need to improve the applicant dashboard and simplify some things to make it easier for applicants to identify what they need to do next, etc. I'm hoping we can work on this functionality later this year.

    I'm merging this suggestion with another that is very similar - it helps me keep track, and I think it makes it easier for users to see the discussion around the idea.

    For grants that are closed, it would be helpful for those to not show up as fully expanded on the applicant dashboard? It would be much less confusing for an applicant if only active grants appeared as expanded and they would need to click the little arrow to expand the closed grants. It is overwhelming to log in and then have your entire grant history there in expanded detail

    Hi Helen,

    Thanks for your timely suggestion. The applicant dashboard has been a topic of our internal product time for a while now. As we are currently in the middle of overhauling a lot of our user interface architecture, we are considering options for improving the applicant dashboard. We won't be ready to release a change to it for another 4-6 months, but it is something I feel is important.

    As we get closer to defining what the changes will be, I will do my best to communicate them to you and others who are interested.
