Request ID Visible
We often have project names that are the same or very similar making it really hard for our Finance department to know if they are making a payment on the right grant or staff to know if we are closing the correct one. We are familiar with the request ID being something we can pull on reports and then hoover over the bottom of the screen to verify that we're in the correct grant when performing of these tasks, but it would be extremely helpful if that request ID could be visible maybe somewhere on the Award Details tab or part of the make payment screen. Somewhere to quickly reference that you know from a report you printed in front of you to your screen that you're in the correct grant application.

And I agree w/Chuck - we should be able to pull Request ID into merge docs. It would be a very useful piece of data to include in our grant agreement cover sheets. Would be useful, too, in email templates, and applicant details we can opt to have included at the bottom of an automatic email.

I didn't know about the trick of hovering at the bottom of the screen when in a Request record. I tried it, but the Request ID displayed there is very different from the one I get in reports - it's a nice 7- or 8-digit number, as opposed to the 32(?)-character, multi-part string of letters and numbers I get in reports. 🤔 Although above the "Request ID = xxxxxxx" line when hovering, there is a long string of numbers and characters, but they don't match what's in the reports I pull. 🤔🤔🤔

I agree, the request ID field should be accessible in other areas of GLM, not just reports. It should be possible to pull it into merge docs and view it as Amanda describes.
