Email reminder of deadline for applicants in draft stage

Hear me out.... an automatic email message that is sent out to all applicants who are in the draft stage, as a reminder to complete their application for the grant cycle that is ending. "Dear applicant, you currently have an application for the (insert grant cycle name) grant cycle in draft. Don't forget that the application deadline is tomorrow (insert date). We look forward to receiving your application."

    This would be very helpful! We are currently sending reminders 2 weeks, 1 week and 1 day out. A very manual process for each application process.

    It would simplify my life greatly if there were automatic deadline reminder emails that could be configured for the LOI and Application Stages as well as the Evaluations that are assigned to committee members, etc. We send reminders to those applicants/evaluators that are showing "draft" or "incomplete" shortly before the deadline as a courtesy to alert of them of the approaching deadline (ideally each organization could customize their reminders are currently happens with follow-up reminders). We also send a notice to applicants once the deadline has passed that we cannot accept their application (effectively notifying them that we are abandoning their application). It would be great to automate this also (similar to a "past due" reminder notification for follow-ups).

    I thought we were able to do this and I setup my email template and everything and realized that was only for follow-ups. I see what you mean about the deadline. I have another grant cycle where I don’t have deadlines setup because I constantly have different funding cycles running, so I understand that wouldn’t be possible for that one. However, the one I would like to use it, I do have a hard deadline. I feel like this would make it the same as the follow ups process with the reminder to the assignee 14 days before the due date.

    One of our grant applicants asked if we could add automatic reminders of upcoming deadlines to everyone who still has an application in draft status; I'm envisioning something like the reminder email to applicants who need to submit grant reports. Is this possible?
