Comment With Tribute Notification

I'd really like to add a field to the tribute section of a donation that could contain a comment that would then be available for the tribute letter templates. Honor tributes are often made for a special occasion and donors of memorial tributes sometimes add sentiments with their gifts that are nice to share with the family. It would save a lot of time to be able to add these tribute phrases directly into a donation record and have them automatically added to the letters.

    Agreed! There's a place for donors to enter notes...using that as a merge field might be the answer.

    We would like a custom merge field in the tribute section of a donation for comments from the donor that would merge into the tribute letter template. In memory of and in honor of gifts often have sentimental value and need to be shared with the recipients. It would save a lot of time to be able to add these tribute phrases directly into a donation record and have them automatically added to the letters and emails.

    This is a great idea, we often receive the same types of tributes and want to make the notification letters/emails as personal as possible.
