Memorial Funds - all donations automatically coded as tributes
We have a new scholarship fund in memory of a young person who passed away recently. We have been receiving many donations, both via check and online. When they come as a check, we know that because it is a memorial fund, there should be a tribute attached to it so we will know to notify the family members. However, many of the online donations that we've been receiving have not had the "in memory/in honor of" section filled out. We are thinking that the donors assume that since it is a memorial fund, all donations will be acknowledged to the family, even if they do not fill in this tribute section on the online donation portal. Our current workaround is running a donation report for this fund and checking that all donations are attached to the tribute. However, this gave me an idea - the option to have memorial funds. This could be an option at the fund setup level where a memorial fund would automatically have all donations to that fund as a specified tribute. We have a number of other memorial funds that we would like to set up this way as well - where every gift we receive is in memory of the same person.

Yes! And we also have a new fund in memory of a young person who died recently, and we are running into a significant issue where every time someone donates online they fill out the "in memory of" section and they put the name in differently than the household profile in CSuite. This creates a duplicate profile to log the tribute - for almost every donation. We are constantly trying to catch and reconcile literally dozens of duplicates for this one fund. I can't imagine if we had more active memorial funds. I would love to be able to link the fund to the profile that will receive the tributes. There will only be one in most instances, and this would create clarity and eliminate these duplicates.
