Fund Advisors Access
In our jurisdiction (BC Canada), it is against the law to reveal donors' personal information to anyone without their consent. Currently, when fund advisors are given access to their portal, they can see the names of donors to their funds. We cannot allow this. We would like Foundant to provide an option to "hide donor name" in the Fund Advisor/Donor Portal Options under System Data.

There is an option to hide the Donor info on the portal already. Follow this path - Home>System Data>Fund Advisor/Donor Portal Options>Check the appropriate Hide boxes (Name, Address, Phone, Email)>Save.

Besides the legal requirement in BC there could be many other reasons for not showing donor names to fundholders. Sharing that name should never be taken lightly so the fact it is automatic seems like a major oversight. What if we create a fund to host a third party fundraiser, or community fundraiser, and want to provide the partner with a way to see fundraising progress, but not share the donor names?

It is also part of the Ontario Privacy laws and compliance would be critical in our decision to eventually add the donor portal.

I agree with the "hide donor name" option being added.
