Custom Field Type - number option
It would be great to have a # option in the custom field types, that can then be counted or sorted like other numbers in a Report.

Agreed, it would be great, especially for enforcing formatting to ensure the custom field is always in number format. I'd really like to use the report counting/total/etc that it can do with existing numeric fields.

Agreed, it would be very helpful to capture amounts as numeric so that we can use the aggregate options in reports on those fields.

We capture Establishing Gift Amount when creating a fund. It is critical to have the option to select custom field type = number/amount.

We have a custom field for amount requested, however since it is only available as a text option, it doesn't serve its purpose when running reports on amount requested versus amount granted for specific grant cycles, etc.. It would be extremely helpful to have the ability for a custom field to be a number.
