Is there someway to bulk categorize (CSuite new feature) the file attachments?
Is there someway to bulk file categorize? With the new file category for attachments clean up is overwhelming to tag each attachment into the appropriate category. Even if we could drag and drop into a category, right now we have to edit each and every file attachment.

- 5/18/2023: Files: Added the ability to delete files from a filtered list and Set Categories from Files. Clients will now see a new left-side menus of Update Category and Delete Files. This will allow clients to easily remove files from their site. This will help with data hygiene and file retention policies. There will be a 2000 file limit when deleting based on browser performance. The report should populate and you can select delete all and yellow warning will appear, but then take you back to the report to select the next 2000, if needed. Clients will also now be able to set File Categories in bulk using a Custom Report. This action will be found under the Files Actions in custom reporting.

I think it would be beneficial to have the file categories always shown as collapsed. Have the option to select the category you want to review files and open the categories individually. With the large number of files we have attached to funds and profiles, it is cumbersome to see them all at once.

I too have been having so much trouble categorizing one thing at a time! It takes so much time it would be a lot more efficient to bulk categorize

So many attached files need to be categorized into the same type. If there are 15 fund statements from our legacy system that need to be categorized into the Fund Statement "folder" should be able to be categorized to all 15 files at once. Select the 15 and select the category. Or the drag and drop Michele suggested would be good too!

We're really appreciative of the new file folders but the project of going back and categorizing all the attached files is proving to be incredibly cumbersome because we have to open each attached file and edit. Some sort of bulk edit ability, similar to the bulk upload would really help.
