Tax Receipt Template - Salutation
Hi, We have a variety of donations from Individuals, households, DAF, and grants. The salutation field works when the donations advisor is blank but not working when the donation advisor is not blank; Unfortunately, the salutation pulls the donor name salutation instead of the donation advisor. Is it possible to be fixed if it is a glitch? If not, is it possible to have a field for the donation advisor to do a formula when it is blank we pull salutation if not we pull the donation advisor name.

HI Paulette,
I have talked with Foundant Support many times about this issue and we discovered they do not have a 'donor advisor' merge field which seemed like the simplest solution to me, because then we could just create a tax receipt template that would pull the donor advisor's name into the right placement or field. What I was told is the best work around, is to use the "address name" merge field from the Template Field list in place of where you would put the "Dear donor__name" put Dear addr__Name instead. Where I am still having difficulty though is with the Envelopes template- that is not able to be edited and it still only pulls the donor name, not the donor advisor name/address. Hope this helps! -

For yearly tax receipts, we have option to pull household label but not household salutation. Add this field as an option in year-end templates too!
