This was a big issue for us this scholarship season. So many calls and emails about not being able to submit because of exceeding character limits, but they couldn't see where in the application because it didn't redirect you to it or highlight the sentence in any way. I too would like it to be in RED like in other software applications.

It would also be EXTREMELY helpful if the ineligibility page also triggered an automatic email to the student, perhaps with the same information from the failure message. We have a problem with many students not seeing the failure message at the time they submit the application, for whatever reason, and then not knowing they haven't qualified for anything and that there are steps they can take to address (our failure message includes common mistakes they may have made in their application that can be changed before the application deadline).

For the students with multiple requests, the Requests portion is clunky and not helpful in it's current limitation of only viewing 4 requests. It should be a larger number first visible, like 10 requests, AND default to awarded or open requests at the top. Additionally, the Follow Ups page would be SIGNIFICANTLY more helpful if they were hyperlinks, instead of having to navigate to the request to take action on the follow up.
And I know there is a timeline function in the works that would address this, but not having the Email History in a very accessible place right now is seriously messing with my workflow *sad face*facepalm*

I am posting another comment about this because it was once again an issue for us this year, and I want to add more info. The error message for this lists it at the bottom of the form, so many of them assumed it was for the text box immediately above the error, when in fact it was somewhere farther up in the form. This resulted in them drastically cutting down their recommendation words for the students, obviously VERY bad.
I would again hope that a jump to the offending space feature could be implemented, or at the very least adjust the wording to "you have exceeded the limit of ### characters in at least one of the responses on this form, please review your responses" etc. AND also make the offending space have the RED text.
