Batch assign follow ups?
How about batch assigning follow ups? Otherwise I have go into each approved grant and assign follow ups on an individual basis, when all of the follow ups for that cycle are due the same date.
Hi All,
Exciting news, our first version of batch follow up assignment has been released today, 4/6/2022. You can learn about this functionality Here.
As always here a Foundant we do iterative development. If you get in and use these features and have additional ideas around how it can support your workflows please create a new idea lab item or reach out to me directly.
Best

Is anyone else experiencing difficulties with new follow up system/procedures?

Yes, please! Batch follow-ups would be a wonderful time saver. We look forward to that improvement.

I agree with all those that came before me--assigning follow-ups by batch would be incredible!

We totally need this function -- we are awarding 150+ grants per cycle. It is very tedious to individually assign each one. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN , Chris D!

Where does this enhancement stand in the list of expected improvements? Can we hurry this along?

The ability to "batch" follow ups would help us tremendously. We fund over 300 grants and all grants require follow ups. Batching this process would be extremely time-saving. Each grant we issue requires 2 follow up documents - a grant agreement and a final report.
Add us to the list of those who would like this feature elevated in priority!!

I'm still voting for a batch function for assigning follow-ups.

After attending a regional user group session last week with Foundant, it is my understanding that this is in the works to be released sometime next year! Woo Hoooo!!!

Yes please, I only have 9 approved grants but it will take me 108 processes to get the follow ups assigned as there are 12 quarterly follow up reports due (9*12=108). I can't even imagine how folks use this feature who have dozens of grants approved for funding.

Completely agree. The more things we can do in batches, the better!

I am ALL IN FAVOR of batch "follow-ups". It would be so very helpful to help cut down on having to go into every individual file to add the follow-up.

Great idea! And for the same reason. We usually have all reports due on September 15, for example.

Hi Beth,
Thanks for taking time to post this suggestion. If you can find the similar suggestion, could you post the link here? I couldn't find it, and it would be handy to be able to cross-reference it.
You're correct in that this functionality does not currently exist. Part of the challenge to this is that the follow-up is assigned to an individual. While in most cases this is the applicant, that's not always the case. I'm guessing you'd always want the follow-up to be assigned to the applicant, correct? In that case, we'd need to not just add the batch capability for this, but also customize the "Add Follow Up" user interface to allow for an "Assign to Applicant" option ... which also complicates the back-end logic.
We've also not seen a lot of demand for this feature relative to other features (Email merge, improved date handling, etc.), so it's hard to justify moving it up the priority list. That said, we've built out a lot of batch functionality, so this is something we will continue to consider as we look at additional batch functionality to implement.
Thanks again for posting this, and please let me know if you have any feedback or questions.

I searched around, and found one similar suggestion from 2011. I figured I would bring it up again since I believe there is still not this capability.
For a granted applications belonging to a single process, it would be so convenient to be able to click on each grant in the process and assign a single follow-up that everyone must complete. I just checked, and so far the only batch options available granted applications are: close grant, email recipients, and quick export.
