Question List as Word Doc.
It would be nice to be able to extract an application question list as a Word .doc instead of as a .pdf? We provide this list to our applicants, but it has internal only questions that appear, so it would be very helpful to be able to format this document as we see fit. - Thank you!

In GLM, this would be very helpful as a large area of our service region does not have stable internet connection. We use branching questions (and as noted in the comments below), not everyone needs to answer/see these - creating additional work for our applicants. In SLM, we have about 200 opportunities within the UA, that are built with eligibility contingent on branching questions. We cannot download the application packet and send it to donors for a number of reasons, including but not limited to, branching. Having the ability to edit the question list for each specific opportunity would save us countless hours.

It would be nice to have the question list download in Word Doc in case applicants want to work on it in word first. I also think it would be easier for us to edit applications for the new year by having the option to download in word doc instead of just PDF so we can share the document around the team for editing.

Preview as applicant before printing is a good workaround.

Generate as needed would be great! We use question branching and in some cases would not want all invited grantees to be able to view all the questions asked.

As a workaround in the interim have you tried previewing as applicant before grabbing the question list? I believe it excludes the internal questions. And you may have the option to export the PDF to Word (under the File menu) depending on your Adobe license.

This would be huge! We have to edit a Word Doc every year to account for the changes in questions we have. Needless to say, this process gets to be very time consuming because an application might change several times per day leading up to the launch of an application and it's mighty easy to miss things doing it manually on a Word Doc.

Or, an option to exclude internal from applications and follow up documents that are created :-)

We particularly get this request from charities working in the developing world and they send the form on to international field staff for their responses to the application questions - they may not have the ability to open PDFs nor can they be assigned as a 3rd party due to internet accessibility issues.

We often have applicants who ask for a WORD version of the application so that they can work outside of Foundant, then return to copy and paste their answers. Is it possible to get the application question list in WORD form versus PDF?

We have a similar request, for a different reason. We have applicants that are legally blind. The PDF documents created by the system are not always fully accessible. Having the option to choose between PDF and Word for the download would make it more accessible to that population.

I heard from some grantees last week that they ALWAYS (their emphasis, not mine) craft application responses in Word, then cut and paste into Foundant when they're ready to submit the application. They informed me that this is a best practice for grant writers to be able to share draft application responses with any staff members involved, plus a security measure to save their work.
The question/idea: on the top of an application, is it possible to allow an option to create the Question List in Word as well as the current option to create a PDF? I believe they have been creating the PDF, then converting it to Word where the text boxes appear to count the characters. Despite what I think is helpful to have the boxes and character counts, there was some interest to do away with the boxes and just include the character limit.
