Organization Summary Sandbox Feedback
As part of our June Monthly Release, we’ve introduced a User Setting that allows you to preview the updated Organization Summary layout in your Sandbox environment.
This redesigned view consolidates key organizational details into a streamlined format to improve efficiency and usability. It also lays the foundation for future CRM-related enhancements.
We’d love your input!
Please use this thread to share any feedback, suggestions, or questions about the new layout:
Is the information easy to find?
Are there any workflows that feel smoother or harder?
Anything missing or unexpected?
Your feedback is instrumental as we refine this experience ahead of full release.
Thank you for helping us improve!
– The Product Team at Foundant
Hi Everyone!
Thank you for the initial feedback.
With our August Monthly Release, we just made this viewable in your live environment. Based on your sandbox feedbac,k we have made a couple of updates:
-Sort order of cards: primary contact in top right and then alpha A-Z, comments, and documents showing newest to oldest left to right.
-Table vs Card view on contacts, documents, and comments, you can change the view to either card or table view.
Foundation Status:
There is a full charity check to view all information. We are continuing to update this view and will highlight the organization more prominently in the coming releases.

One note I've heard is finding previous forms or follow ups from the applicant dashboard hasn't been as intuitive because they are currently under the "Documents" drop down. I wonder if changing the label to "Forms and Files" or something similar might help them know where to access those previously submitted forms?

We had a suggestion from a prospect to be able change the Amount Awarded tile (e.g. adjust it to a particular time frame or just see how much has been awarded this year). An alternative would be to be able to reposition it on the dashboard so it's not the first thing you see.

Looking good! It will be helpful to display the primary contact's email address on the summary page contact card.

Shared with a client who said they loved the way this information is displayed and would love a 'download this view' option.

I like the look!
- Echoing sentiments to have some widgets be editable and for the charity check image to expand and show information about operating foundation status.
- I really think contacts should be alphabetical vertical list- the widgets get confusing fast. -

We have some organizations that have dozens of contacts. It's been OK to just scan down the list quickly, but that won't be feasible with "cards". How will this be organized with the cards? Alphabetical by last name? Can the primary contact be listed first by default?

I don't know how to upvote Danny Freund's comment about Charity Check, but it needs to be recognized. This has come back to ******* a few times because the private foundation warning does not pop up until CSuite.

Currently, the pinned comment functionality updates the person who created the comment and the date it was created to whoever pinned it and the date it was pinned rather than who originally created the comment and the date it was created. I'd like to see the two separated so that pinning a comment doesn't change the original date and who originally posted it.

Looks great! Would be great to filter the requests on the dashboard based on request stage.

will the widgets be editable? The "amount awarded" widget is confusing (we provide multi year grants, and would prefer "amount distributed", but if we can't have that would rather the widget be turned off)

For the charity check - would really like to see a more obvious warning when an organization is a non-operating private foundation because we're not able to grant to them - and this was always buried and required more clicks to check that. I really like being able to see all info on one page for the charity check. Thanks.

First blush, I am loving the new look. Did I not dig deep enough or did the Candid public profile got away?
Will any of the "cards" be customizable? Maybe a custom field be added to the summary.

Having the total awarded, total requests, total approved, last grant date, and overdue follow ups on this page is SO HELPFUL! I hope these will be able to be pulled into reports, too! Would there be any way to click on the number of Overdue Follow Ups and have it take you to a filtered list of the requests in which a report is overdue?
One other thing on my wish list would be to add a column to the Requests section to show internal users assigned to a specific request. We assign each request to a program officer and it would be such a nice addition to be able to see which program officer was/is assigned or connected to each request. Or possibly even show the name of the assigned user of the most recent grant along with the last grant date?

It's a great improvement!
Everything is on one page, instead of clicking tabs to get phone numbers or previous grant information. And there's room to make notes.
Would we be able to remove or rearrange some of the tiles? -

Visually, the new format seems much more cluttered and difficult to quickly find information. Of course, I am used to the old format, but I think the simplicity of the current look with the different tabs across the top makes a uniform look to each page and makes the information easy to find quickly.
We also have some custom fields on the summary page. I am curious how these will show up in the new format. Is there a target date for the summary page update?
I think the current look of the Comments page is better as well, with comments being stacked vertically in chronological order. The new format with the big chunky boxes seems more difficult to follow chronologically. I also like the current tab feature that shows the number of comments on the tab itself. It would be nice if the documents tab had the same thing.
