During this years' audit when preparing the fund balance report between TR & UR any new funds opened with $0 report is not pulled into the FB report. It would be extremely helpful to include ALL funds, so that our auditors can actually identify new funds so they can test the controls properly. There are times when we have very old funds reopened and are used again. Also, would like to have ALL planned gifts pulled into the report due the timing of when a new fund was opened and when the donor passes away.

A great way to discover (after migration) which funds should be inactivated. A great audit method to discover (ongoing) funds that should be reviewed either for add'l funding/communication or inactivating

We use the fund balances in reviewing the funds for appropriated roll-up. We have over 3,500 funds and this is one way to look at funds globally, especially if some funds need to be retired.

Agree! Some $0 balance funds still show on this report, but others do not. You can run a current fund balance report through custom reports, but you cannot run a fund balance report as of a certain date. It would be great if a fund balance report could be run on any date and showed all $0 balance funds. Thanks for considering!
