Fund Balance Check on Grant Posting
When posting a grant, the system should check the balance of the fund no matter what the grant date or posting date is. Currently the system only checks the fund balance and gives a warning message if the grant date and date it's being posted are the same. If the grant date is in the future (as all of ours are), the system will allow you to post grants over the balance in the fund. As we are not posting grants on the same day as the grant date, it would be ideal if the system would give a warning message no matter what the grant date is. I was surprised to learn this isn't how it's working, and it would be a huge help if this could be changed. Thanks.

A previous idea lab post that says it was implemented is attached. When grant dates are in the future (and not on the same day as the grant is being posted), the system does not update the spendable balance and the override balance check warning message does not appear. I'm able to post a grant over the spendable amount without any warning when the grant date is not on or before the posting date. It would be great if this part of the system could be updated so that any posted grant (no matter the grant date) updates the spendable amount and provides the override balance check warning message. Thanks!
