Two contacts assigned to grant applications.
Having the choice to assign two contacts to a grant application and followups. Small organizations or volunteer-based organizations have turnover, and we've had instances where the contact assigned has left the organization, and reminder notifications about grant reporting are never seen. This could be fixed by having a backup email automatically assigned.

Salutations for Email Templates
It would be helpful in the Update User section if there was a field for the individual's preferred greeting that could be pulled into email templates. We have had quite a few comments that the traditional salutation prefix greeting is restrictive to one's identity - as not everyone is a fan of Mx.
Additionally, many of our applicants prefer to be addressed by their first names, while others prefer the more formal Dr. Smith or Pastor Smith for example. Adding a field for a preferred greeting would allow us to use the batch email feature while still respecting individual preferences.

Automatic Emails for Grant Managers
To avoid sending all automatic emails to every grants manager in a process. It would be helpful to be able to have emails attached to a specific requests be automatically directed to the grants manager assigned to the request?

Include email responses in Contact email history
The contact email history would be a much better tool if it included all correspondence with the applicants. Only being able to view emails sent to the applicant and not seeing responses makes it an incomplete history.

Forward emails from outside of Foundant into the System
Allow "forwarding" emails to each organization file within Foundant. Our lives would be so much easier if we could forward emails from several places into an organization's "file" to keep the history all in one place.
In Evernote, they give an email address, customized to me, that allows me to forward any email/file into Evernote and then tag it within Evernote. Years ago, in Basecamp, they had an email address for each "project" we would set up. If you all could figure this one out and add it as an option, we would truly be able to have EVERYTHING in…14 votes -
collaborator role
When an individual is added as a collaborator, they seem to skip the registration process? They are not tied to an organization and don't have a role assigned. I'm getting emails from people that have been collaborators and think they have access to the system but don't. I'd also like to assign follow ups to a collaborator without having to add them as a user first. Can they automatically be granted applicant status?

multiple reminder emails
Increase the number or make customizeable the number of reminders that can be sent. Our leadership prefers 2 reminders BEFORE the due date rather than 1 before and 1 after. :-)

add to calendar
Create an "add to calendar?" option for any due date (app/follow up forms, etc) whether from the dashboard or within an automatic email. This would be really helpful for applicants who are managing multiple grant processes that are in several stages.

Make the email templates list more readable
We have a number of GLM email templates and sometimes it is quite confusing to choose the correct one, especially if sending out numerous emails. There are two ways that possibly it would be easier to distinguish among the numerous templates. One being, being able to assign templates to folders, so the list is smaller. Secondly, to make the background colour of each of the shaded templates darker or a different colour, so when scrolled over it is more apparent what is being chosen.

Use the merge fields in email templates
I am trying very hard to outsmart the system. I am trying to use some of the non-standard merge fields that I generated out of one of our processes in an email template. I got it to work in one, but am having trouble with the second...If I can get it to work, I'll be able to pull data from the installments and one of my follow up forms into an automatic email for our Admin Assistant, so she can then generate a payment request in PeopleSoft. I did notice in the email template that I got to work, that…

Collaborator Receive Emails
I love the collaborator feature! Here come the but. But it would be great if the collaborator could receive emails as well as the applicant. I have several executive directors that submit and application but then want someone else to complete the follow ups.

Delete users
DELETE USERS
It would be most helpful to be able to DELETE (not just deactivate) Users. We don't want to keep a bunch of outdated/not relevant /even deceased contacts under "inactive" if we don't have to. We have to keep some Users as "inactive" with dummy emails in order to show concurrent affiliations - so it's already a busy place for us.82 votes -
Timing of Automated Emails
Hi there. I notice that some of the automated emails I have set up in my processes are sent out by the Foundant system at odd hours of the night. Recently I had a batch of reminder emails that were sent through the Foundant system at 2:00 AM. It would be wonderful if I could set a time for those emails to go out, or at the very least to have the system send automated emails at a more reasonable hour. My concern is that if grantees have email and notifications set up on their phone, my reminder email might…

3rd Party Confused
We had a lot of problems this year with 3rd party individuals being confused by the fact they received an email from the student and an email from us for the same request. Is there some way to streamline things so that the 3rd party recipient would only receive one email? I would prefer our template email to the student's email, as they often don't include all or the correct information. Or maybe possible to add the students email wording to the start of the auto-generated email? It became even more confusing for students who were requesting documents for multiple…

Scholarship communication with applicants via text
Many students do not check their emails or voicemails on a regular basis. Some do not even set up their voicemail boxes. Texting is their primary mode of communication. Having the capability of texting messages to the applicant might speed up their response to our requests.

Reminder texts
We are a scholarship organization and fund students for four years of undergraduate study. We contact them at least three times per year via your email system, and the students don't respond very well to emails anymore. Local high schools have said, "Why don't you use REMIND.COM or the like - just text your scholarship recipients instead of email reminders." We collect our students mobile phone numbers - can you incorporate a text reminder program into your software processes? Thanks, Jim K. - keep up your good work!
