PROBLEM:
There is an extra step for Primary Advisors to approve a grant request that he/she has created and that is confusing to the Primary Advisor. Can it be configured differently?
Note: This is a major competitive disadvantage for us vs Schwab, etc., and other foundations that do not use CSuite. It causes embarrassment.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to configure this in a different way, it is working as intended. You can add an idea to the idea lab if you would like something changed to make it less confusing! That is where our product team goes for ideas to improve the software.
At least an Approval Button (RED) on the donor portal by the requests still needing approval?

3/11/2025:Portal-Fund Advisor- Added donation comment to the donation export, if Show Donation Comment is enabled. Updated Grant Request to display address and primary contact for organizations. Added file attachments to display for primary approver and resolved an issue with the file not displaying on the grant. Removed the approval for the primary approver to need to approve their own grant request. Updated the Fund Steward name field to pull from the mailing label or the name to be consistent with legacy portal.

This is a huge hinderance for many of our advisors. It also creates wild inefficiencies when processing grants. We have several funds that are configured to require primary advisor approval and those same funds have a primary advisor that submits many grants. In order to create a grant from the recommendation of that advisor, I have to change the setting on that fund every time. This is flawed functionality and needs addressing asap.

When a fund advisor is the primary fund advisor but also marked as the one that MUST (Require Primary Advisor Approval) approve any grants from the fund and they submit a new grant in the portal, they must still approve their own grant.
The explanation in CSuite (?) says "If enabled, grant requests made by anyone other than the primary fund advisor must first be approved by the primary fund advisor before being converted to a grant". That sounds to me like the primary fund advisor should NOT have to approve their own submission.
The advisor doesn't even receive any email or any notification that a grant is needing approval.
This needs work.
