  1. I heard from an Evaluator who was frustrated with the view of a grid/table on his evaluator view. As he was working in the side-by-side (evaluator/application) view, he coudln't see any of the content of the (in this case) Student Activities grid. There was content in boxes that he wanted to see but the dropdown carrot took up most of the space and he couldn't read the student replies.
Getting rid of the carrots would probably help but just in general, some way to better view the contents of a grid format answer would be wonderful.

  2. We use a two-step evaluation process which involves two different groups of evaluators, one for each step. Once the first group evaluates the LOI we would like to restrict the visibility of that form from the second group of evaluators.

Right now that requires going into each question and table row or column and updating the visibility, a very time-consuming and tedious job, between the two evaluation phases.

It would be great if we could alter the visibility at the form level, overriding field by field visibility settings. That would allow us to basically turn the LOI form off after…

  3. We definitely need the ability to add at least three custom columns - 2 is just too few. But while we are limited in the number of columns we can add, it is heartbreaking to have a precious Evaluator column wasted on a system column we don't use. Additionally, because this particular column is there we can't use the Scoring question type, because it will populate this columns with numbers that won't mean anything to our Evaluators and will confuse them. We rank on a 1 through 4 scale with 1 the highest and 4 the lowest - only the…

  4. I would love to be able to edit the "Project Name" Field for our evaluators. Right now I change the "Project Name" within the application, but for our evaluators, the bar still reads "Project Name"

  5. We would like to request that Upload Responses, such as transcripts, be added to the Submitted and Complete bucket Quick Grid Views. Often, we need to pull transcripts or other uploads quickly, and it's difficult to go into each student's application to search, view, and download transcripts. If the uploads appeared in the Quick Grid View, we would be able to view these uploads more efficiently.

  6. From the SLM Dashboard we have the ability to Filter by Processes. In the same way it would be great to be able to Filter by Applicant.

We do not use universal application so this filter would allow us to group, screen and use Batch options based on an applicant name.

  7. It would be helpful to have a grading mechanism at the organizational level; i.e.: consider strongly, consider, don't consider.

  8. It would be great to be able to assign reviewers to applications on X date, but for the reviewers to not be able to access the applications until a later date and time that could be set in Foundant.

  9. A donor questioned how AI might impact scholarship and grant applications, something I hadn't considered. I wonder if there's been any discussion about building in some check to ensure AI hasn't written answers.

  10. Maybe this exists already....it would be so helpful to be able to filter evaluators by process - we have a committee for each grant and clicking through each time while referring to the original committee list is cumbersome. If I could filter evaluators to only show the ones who would score a particular grant program, I could get through assignments much quicker.

  11. Remove the Rating system from Evaluations as a required field.
Our Evaluations never show as Complete even when they are because we do not use a rating system to evaluate grants.

  12. currently have an evaluator bulletin where reviewers can post questions to foundation admin that they need to ask the applicants. Questions are linked to a project, other reviewers can see all the questions and the answer. Staff receive a notification when a question is posted, all evaluators get a notification when a response is submitted by staff.

  13. If an applicant uploads an iPhone photo (.heic photo) then you will not be able to view it within the system. You will need to download it to your computer first. Would like to be able to view .heic photos within the system.

  14. The process to access Follow Up reports for our board members is certainly cumbersome, and discourages board members from using the online data (read this as I have to produce paper copies of each follow-up). A folder on their Dashboard would be helpful; and at a minimum, it would be useful to have a "Return to Follow Ups Submitted" option, so that they don't have to go all the way back to Requests and Decisions to pull up each report.

  15. At this point, we are having to use an external, web-based tool called Jotform to do our quantitative evaluation of proposals because of that programs ability to weight different criteria more heavily than others. This is creating a good amount of double work as we then need to move scores and program officer summary content from Jotform back into Foundant to maintain historical memory. We'd love to see the day when we can shed Jotform altogether. Any chances of that?

  16. I would be helpful to see "Complete" Status on the Application Evaluation dashboard. How does an Administrator know that an evaluator has completed their review except to have to click in the Application Evaluation "Assigned" - which defeats the purpose of a dashboard? Thank you

  17. When entering in a comment in the Administrator Comment field, I can check a box that allows the comment to be seen by the applicant. I would LOVE a checkbox that allows the comment to be seen by the evaluators as well (particularly staff evaluators). Thanks for your consideration!

  18. It would benefit if evaluators can view the average score page, like an administrator has access to. Currently each evaluator has to drill into each application to view the average score. And if you have 20-50 applications to review, it is frustrating and time consuming to come up with the average score for each application. Viewing the application Evaluation page listing all applications and their average scoring would be helpful.

  19. Hi Chris,

We're enjoying the comment field enhancement within the application - great update! In fact, we're enjoying it so much, we're wondering if there's any talk of having this enhancement extended to the evaluators as well? We'd love it if our evaluators could make comments within the application while they're doing their review work. This would serve as a useful tool when we're on our committee conference calls and during site visits.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  20. (Suggested by fellow grants staff Trudy Wild)

Currently there is an attractive summary of all panelist scores and comments (Dashboard / Application Evaluation Open / Summary) - but only staff can access this (Our evaluations are anonymous and un-shared). This is available per application, with questions down the left hand side and staff evaluator names across the top.

We'd like for a single staff evaluator to be able to view his own summary. This should encompass all applications in one view - with questions down the left hand side and applicant organization names across the top.
