  1. The new process to reapply for a grant seems a bit redundant and confusing.
    I used to direct non-profits to click on "Apply" and they're in to the new submission.

    Now they need to click on Apply, then the button says "Applied" - past tense makes it confusing to me and them, and then the button says "Apply Again."

    I think to simplify, the 2nd screen should have the "Apply Again" button...and not Applied.

    What I don't want, personally, is to have to walk every non-profit through these steps to reapply.

    • Editing MFA text and emails. Eg. The page that prompts the user to set TOTP. Change naming convention when MFA is added to authenticator app. When a user scans the QR code to set their TOTP, change default text based on the SmartSimple environment.
    • MFA batch reset functionality. Right now we manually have to reset MFA for each user.

  2. I would like to be able to set a default answer to questions on the application. Like for drop down or radial buttons, I want to choose a default and then have the option to change it if needed. It would also be useful for information to auto populate from one question to another. For example, the project title would autofill to another question that is a summary of the request.

  4. There should be an option in the bulk updates for funds to bulk update fund advisor permissions for the portal. Currently, if we want to update permissions for what is viewable/what actions are available for users to through the portal, we have to individually update each profile. For an org that has as many fund advisors as we do, this is very time consuming and inconvenient. An option to bulk update these permissions would be very helpful.

  5. (Applicable to the UA) We need to have two separate automated emails: one for when students submit their eligibility quiz (to confirm the quiz has been submitted and to then share information on next steps) and one for when they complete a full application for each of their eligible scholarship opportunities. Is this in the works for the UA? Currently the same "thank you for submitting your application" email is being sent to students when they submit their eligibility quiz AND when they submit their complete applications. This is causing students confusion.

  6. Can we default reports to export without formatting? The grey seems unnecessary. It would also be great if emails through the system weren't grey either. Thanks!

  7. It would be great to have a universal application in GLM like in SLM. Where you can enter the eligibility of each process in the universe and applicants only have to fill out 1 application and get matched to what they actually qualify for. This is crucial!

  8. When creating a merge document, it would be nice to be able to choose at the top of the screen, whether or not it is a .pdf or .doc. Scrolling to the bottom of the list of merge templates takes extra time, especially when creating many merge docs. It would also be very nice to be able to choose one type of document and all of your merge docs would be that type of document until you toggle it off.

It would be nice to have an option for an editable pop-up message that applicants would see once they are logged in (similar to the landing page message, but something they would have to notice and would see only once they log in). It could be used to notify applicants of any changes to the process or, really, anything that seems important.

  10. Currently if a user is inactive they are required to have an email address. This is not useful when the new user in their role uses the previous employees email address. ie) ceo@testcompany.ca

    If the new user uses the previous employees email then you are required to come up with a dummy address for the inactive employee. This is not ideal.

    Inactive employees should NOT require an email.

We've had many grant award checks returned for "no receptacle" or "insufficient address" due to the application in GLM auto filling with whatever address was put in when the organization's account was initially set up. Most people will put their physical address in this spot. It would be helpful if when setting up new accounts in GLM both the mailing address and the physical address of an organization were required, then for the mailing address to be the default for the grant application. Any way around this issue?

  12. With the new view, email history is very difficult to find. It would be great if there were a tab on the left or in one of the blocks in the new view that would bring users quickly to the email history. Right now, it is not visible, and there are many clicks to get to the email. It is not very intuitive as set up now.

  13. With the new organization view, email history is hard to find. I did find out you can get to them with multiple steps that seem time consuming and awkward. Please put email history link either on the left side of the front page or on the blocks of info. Right now, they are buried.

  14. In our application, we would like for organizations to provide contact information for the program's manager when the PM is not the applicant. For data purposes, it is helpful for us to have the contact's info in individual fields (1. salutation, 2. first name, 3. last name) instead of one text box.

    Rather than having one line per short text box in the form, it would be helpful if we had the ability to group related short text boxes on one line. For example, something like the admins view when updating user pages in the system.

  17. I am loving the new organization request summary. Can it be customized? I would like to take an answer from a multiple choice internal question off the grantee's final report and have that show up on the request summary.

  18. As the evaluation fields cannot be pulled into merge templates, we have built our due diligence processes into an internal-only section of the application form. As a result, this means that the application is extremely long, and we are needing to continuously scroll up and down to review the required information. It would be much better if we could have a side-by-side view, such as you get with the evaluation stage.
    We could build the due diligence into the evaluator 1 stage to do this, but none of the fields could then be included in our merge templates. If these…

  19. In SLM, you cannot batch assign follow ups for different opportunities within the same General Application. It is very time consuming to assign the same set of scholarship follow ups to each different opportunity individually. This idea needs to be taken a step further to allow different opportunities within a GA to be batch assigned at once. Thanks!
