  1. It would be helpful for tasks associated with an opportunity to be marked complete or in some way removed from open tasks when the opportunity has been closed. Presently, the tasks stay active, which requires another step to close an opportunity.

  2. We’d like to improve our ability to efficiently process opportunities. First, it would be extremely helpful if we had the ability to bulk-process items in one way or another. We’d like to be able to complete opportunities in bulk, as well as marking them as successful or not. Last, we’d like the ability to bulk assign opportunity tasks to staff members, most likely using a filtered list. Adding this functionality will help make opportunities a much more effective tool for us.

  3. It would be helpful if we could nest one opportunity within another. For instance, we use an Opportunity to track our relationships with BIPOC donors, focusing on engagement rather than immediate fundraising goals. It would be ideal to add this relationship-building Opportunity under a larger, overarching Opportunity, such as New Fund or Legacy Society.

  4. There is no option to change the profile for an opportunity once it is made. Sometimes we have the name of the person who referred it, and we put it on that profile. Then once we get the name of the client we want it on the client profile. I have to delete the first opportunity and make a new opportunity. But if this opportunity started in 2024 and I don't have the details of 2025, the created date will look like this started in 2025.   5. Currently in bulk import of opportunities we are unable to set the stage and add custom fields. I have to manually and individually change the stage if it isn't the first stage. And to add custom fields I have to do v-lookups and do it in different bulk uploads to identify the opportunity id to then bulk update the custom fields. The bulk import of profiles allows the import of custom fields and the default fields. I would like to when doing a bulk import of opportunities to also set the stage it should be at and the custom fields…

  6. Opportunities have a unique opportunity id. There is no way to search for an opportunity via its id. I would love to be able to search for an opportunity via its id in the global search on the top. And within the opportunities object have more options for searching for an opportunity.

  7. Please add the option to send out emails automatically based on when an Opportunity's stage is changed/reached.

    We would like for CSuite to send out emails automatically, with both an external and internal option, when a particular stage or stages are reached in an Opportunity. This would cut back on much of the tedious work associated with changing stages and needing to send emails manually outside of the system.

    This would help a lot with new donors as they receive a lot of communication, as well as with mid-year checkups.

  8. When using an Opportunity Template, the only option is to print the letters, there's no option to email them. Please incorporate the option to email letters in batch (all records selected from the listing of open opportunities) for Opportunities.

  9. Once a note has been created on a profile, it isn't possible to assign that note to an opportunity. It needs to be deleted and then added to the opportunity. It would help if there were an option to edit the existing note and assign it to the opportunity.

I would like to add the capability to include the employee named that a task is shared with when an opportunity task is created so that both team members can share accountability for the outcome. We use this information in our development meetings and have a custom report created. It would be great to add this to our report to help with assignments.

  13. Opportunities are plans that detail and track fundraising efforts to build relationships with prospects and secure major gifts; 2 different types to secure a major gift are cash and pledge.
    When a commitment is made through a pledge, the remaining balance should reflect the variance between the solicited amount and the pledged amount. This shouldn't be limited strictly to cash contributions.

  16. It would be a nice feature if you could alpha-sort opportunities. We utilize opportunities for a lot of different things and it takes a lot of time to look through them when you can't alpha-sort. I have tried the column at the top, but nothing happens.

  17. Sounds like you often recommend that Opportunities be used to track bequest status however, the system does not allow you to link a deceased profile to an opportunity. Can you change this so that deceased profiles can indeed be linked to an opportunity?

  19. The ability to link more than one fund to an opportunity would be beneficial. When I am tracking gifts into an agency endowment, I have to track gifts into the Agency fund as well as the Third-party or public fund.

  20. We are using opportunities and opportunity tasks to help with reporting on development activities. This often requires creating an number of tasks to detail some of the ongoing activities in a more dynamic way than is offered by a recurring task.

    I would love to see a new function in opportunities to add a "Task Flow" which would add a list of tasks and time frames at once. These flows could be custom designed for different development activities in an ideal world and could even further follow advanced logic if built out completely.
