Template fields for online receipts
It would be great to have a custom field that only extracts the donor's first name for tax receipts from online donations or ticketed events. Currently, the system includes the donor's full name as the salutation, but we would like the option to use only the donor's first name for the salutation.

There is the donor.first.name field available as a merge field for tax receipts.

This is exactly what we are experiencing with online donors. A first name merge field for tax receipts would be so helpful!
