  1. Homer CF would like the option to create a grant without assigning a specific fund so an award letter can be issued to the grantee.

Next steps would be to add the fund, post grant, move forward in buckets accordingly.

  2. On a grant record, "Email" is an option next to the field "Grant Award Letter". It seems that this field is not working as expected. It returns a yellow warning message, and doesn't send the email.

  3. It would be great to have the option to include the public name of the receiving fund for internal grant records. Right now this option only seems to exist for the originating fund. Since many of our Funds have a public name, right now when we create our fund records for example, they are showing the internal name of our Funds like Operating Fund, rather than the public name, CNYCF Community Fund.

  4. The ability to attach documents to recurring grants is great but it would be nice to be able to attach documents to beneficiary grants as well. We process a large number of beneficiary grants and it time consuming to have to attach all the necessary documents to each grant every time we process those grants.

  5. This has NOT been implemented per previous post:

We have multiple funds that either roll some or all of their spendable back to the principal balance of the SAME FUND each year to grow the fund or for a specified amount of time (until the donors' death for example). Currently, you can not select the SOURCE fund as the BENEFICIARY fund; it has to go to ANOTHER fund. It would be nice to be able to automate these grants annually instead of manually moving money from Spendable to Principal.

  6. When a grant request is submitted through the portal and requested to be anonymous, the record that it was requested to be anonymous should carry through all stages of the grant. Currently, the grant requests in the portal tab show whether the grant is anonymous, but once the grant is created, the Online Grant Request details do not show whether or not the grant was anonymous. It would be helpful to have this here for easy reference, especially for funds that do not always send grants anonymously.

  7. When importing grants you currently can not import into the payment date field. I would like this field to be added as an import option. If we want to book a years worth of grants when the request is received but schedule grants to go out each month, we now need to manually change the payment date for each grant. This is very tedious and would be great if we could just schedule the grant date and payment date in the import template.

  8. Same Beneficiary, Different Purpose: We have a fund whose fund advisor wishes the funding to be sent all to the same organization but for two different purposes. Currently we work this out by having the organization as the beneficiary to receive 75% of the funding for one purpose, and then we've set up a recurring grant for the organization for the separate purpose, but we have to manually adjust the amount each year. It would be great if we could set up the beneficiary twice for the two different purposes.

  9. We are an Education Foundation supporting our local K12 public schools. Our grants are directly to the District, to individual teachers, or to higher ed institutions. The Charity Check feature presents difficulties. We need a bulk action to set "No Charity Status Check" or a system wide option to "Disable Charity Check" as these features do not serve our present situation.

  10. When I copy it comes up with the old grant date and the old pay schedule date. It should copy to current dates as well as the advisor, the expense account, custom fields, etc. Basically, if I am copying a grant, my goal is to not have to do much editing, if any at all.

  11. We would love to have a minimum grant request option for the portal but its done by fund groups. For example: DAF's minimum grant is $500 but maybe and Org Endowed is $100. We adopted a policy that requires all DAF grants to be over $500. However, if we set that as the grant request minimum for the portal it will cause issues for some of our small organizational endowed funds who maybe don't have $500 in ATS in any given year.

  12. Love the new option to send emails to fundholders who still have grants left in their cart. Currently the only option is to send emails to all fundholders on list. Is there a way to select individual donors who would be receiving the email?

  13. Many of our donors have called in after switching to the new C-Suite portal stating that none of their previous grantees are showing up. I have found that the issue 90% of the time is that they are not clicking in the blank box to view the list.

Once I ask them to try the issue is solved and they all mention that this box should have the drop down icon or in someway make it more obvious that they have to click the blank field to pull up the list.

  14. When depositing a returned grant, the only payment type is check. We most often get returned grants electronically and therefore, the payment type is incorrect.

  15. When reviewing a Grantee's Grants Tab, the Grants Awarded table accurately reflects values. However, clicking on the total value for a specific year only displays completed grants. This limitation becomes problematic when assessing the total grants for the current year, including both vouchered and completed grants.

  16. It would be nice if Edit Payment Schedule, Grant Type, and all other grant related fields are available on the edit grant screen. It slows down workflow if I have to select some fields individually to edit, and then go into the main edit screen for the rest of the fields.

  17. Request: Add the ability to customize the subject line of the Grant Post Notify Email.

Fund holders rely on clear, actionable communication when a grant is posted to their fund. The subject line is the first point of contact and should immediately convey the purpose and origin of the email. The current default is too generic and can come across as unclear or even suspicious. Allowing for subject line customization would help ensure that recipients recognize the email’s intent and engage with it appropriately.

  18. If an online grant request is submitted and the grantee is changed by a staff member before the grant is created, the log should show us the original information. It only shows the original grantee IF the original was already a profile. If the grantee was manually entered, and a staff member changed the grantee to an existing profile, the original grantee is blank in the log.

Please add a log of all grantee information from the original request (grantee name, address, etc.) if it was entered manually and then the grantee was changed before the grant was created.

  19. It would be very helpful to have the option to post internal grants to receiving fund spendable during grant entry. As it is now, we have to post the internal grant, then click on the Donation ID, then click on Apply to Spendable [change].

  20. It would be SO helpful for the primary email that gets pulled in to email grant letters be for the development person (or whoever should get the letter). This is usually different than the primary email for the grantee (CEO, info account, etc.). I think the best way to do this is on the profile have the ability to mark an email for specific tasks (primary, grant letter recipient, etc.). Thanks!
