Reports to automatically filter on "last date" and default by the user's report
Reports should automatically upload user's personal reports by default, and be able to sort by date

note type different than task type
Can we separate Note Type and Task Type? We would love to have unique task types that are not Note Types.

Distributions - do not create transactions on $0.00 calculated amounts
We round the distribution calculation the the $1.00 (rounding behavior: Normal). When an amount of.49 cents or less is calculated a transaction posts to the fund for $0.00. I know there is the option to uncheck the distribution calculation in the preview stage but we have over 1,600 funds to comb through and we have many agency funds with minimal fund balances that we keep open upon agency request.

Add Contact First and Last Name to Year End Tax Receipt template fields
Add Contact First and Last Name as field options for year end tax receipt templates. It would be nice to add the name of an organization's primary contact (which we add to org's first and last name, plus first name in the Salutation) so when sending tax receipt letters for our annual giving day, we don't have to edit the PDF to include the names (I've already voted that these export to Word files). Thank you!

Term investments - edit options needed
The observation of not being able to save a backdated maturity date for a Term Investment doesn’t make sense. When modifying all the term investments to make it easier to maintain in Foundant, I didn’t have an issue with the majority that I had to backdate.
For the term investments that don’t have an edit option for the maturity date, this will not work in the future. I need to be able to always have the ability to edit the term investment if something comes up, it can’t only ever be edited once. That is just not possible/doable. I’ve found that the interest rate strategy on some doesn’t have an edit field either.
If there is a way to make the description field and custom fields bulk editable in the future, please do so.
For the term investments that have their interest paid out, the next distribution date has passed so how can the system get caught up?

Term Investment - default fund/accounts would be helpful
Term Investments - have defaults for revenue accounts, borrowing fund, asset accounts pre populated as these are always the same.
Smart tips would be helpful in creating a new term investment for distribution fields.

Invoice Confirmation Receipt Letter
With enhancements being added to CSuite for Invoices, having the ability to send a confirmation receipt once payment is received would be beneficial. Currently when we have organizations request an invoice prior to fulfilling their contribution, we have to complete this outside of the software and then enter as a donation in order to acknowledge their gift.
But if we were able to send a receipt as we do donations this would allow for us to record the entire process in CSuite.

Our development team would love to have a way within the system to track future funds that are coming once we receive estate gifts. (i.e., we already have a fund agreement, but there are no assets that have been transferred). To me, this sounded like asking for the fund equivalent of pledge vs. promise within the system.
They suggested adding a designation in the system as part of the "open" or "closed" options (maybe "future" or "inactive") so the information could already be entered and tracked within the system. This would streamline info instead of using spreadsheets or other tracking that is difficult to pass between multiple staff.

6 votesThis sounds like a great question for Compass! I have seen a lot of clients use Opportunities for this. You can create an opportunity for the profile and tie a fund beneficiary to the Opportunity. The Fund is created and added to a "legacy" fund group that can be moved once the estate gift is received.
The Opportunitiy is created (titled Bequest Expectancy - or similar) with the following stages:
- Open
- Bequest Documented
- Realization Notification
- In Process
- Closed

Pronoun field on donation forms
It would be great to have an optional pronoun field on donation forms, so those donating online can self-select their preferred pronouns. This would help with donor relations and making sure future communications with donors are informed and respectful.

Tax Receipt Template Logic - "Fund" Assigned Should get the highest value
In Tax Receipt Template Logic, currently "Payment Type" is assigned the most points. It would make more sense that a the Fund assigned to the template get the most points. Funds often have nuances that need to be addressed in the tax receipt, and the current value system does not easily or simply allow for that.

Viewing all notes for a Household profile and any members
It would be great if we had the option to view all notes for a household and any member profiles in one location. We can make a custom report for this but it involves using a filter. It would be easier for all users if there was an option to view all notes while on the Household profile.

Balance Swap Account Filter shows closed accounts
In Cash Management - Balance Swap - Add Filter, when you select "From Account" and then checkboxes, the check list that appears includes accounts that are closed (which for us is a lot). It makes no sense that closed accounts would be showing here. It should only show open/active accounts.

Option to mark individuals "do not mail" when marking household
When a household is marked "do not mail" offer the option to apply to other members of the household as well. Similar to how the system asks if you want to change other profiles when you make an address, phone or email change.

Automate the Grant Card Template
The grant card template (giving card acknowledgement/receipt, not tax receipt) is available as a template and can be sent manually from the donor's grant card page, but the process is unable to be automated.
Donors should receive a letter letting them know how their grant card was spent. There is no reason this shouldn't be automated just like every other template. And if they aren't going to be automated, they need to at least show a timestamp after one is manually sent so that it is clear that a letter has been sent.

Add option to create a letter from a profile
I would like to have the ability to generate even a simple letter from a profile, so it auto fills name, address and I can take it from there. Add to the "Create" in the left sidebar please!

Add a date field to Profile Type
Add a date field option to Profile Types. We are adding CAP program and have classes and to track classes, a date field would be a great add. Otherwise we would create a profile type for each year to track classes.

Internal grant envelopes
Is there a way that the envelope option become available to accompany a letter that is processed for an internal grant? This is a letter for the person/organization that requested the grant and currently there is no envelope option that matches the grantors name and address that appears on the letter.

Donations - please bring back the option to use the enter button to process a donation
Prior to a recent update, when entering a donation and getting to the tax receipt template field, we were able to use the enter button on the keyboard to have the system process the donation.
For those of us that prefer using the keyboard instead of the mouse, It would be great if you could bring it back.
Since the update, we have to tab 2 more times before the enter key will work again or scrolling to the bottom of the page and using the mouse to click on process.

Check Approval Batch Total
On the screen where checks are approved, it would be nice to have a batch total. We make most payments by ACH in batches and it would be a good control to be able to quickly tie the batch total in C Suite to the ACH batch in our bank portal.
