Change Fund Group at a Point in Time
For audit purposes, it would be helpful to be able to change a fund group type at a point in time instead of changing all of history. We have memorial funds that come in as "Unrestricted" but turn into restricted scholarship funds (or others). When we change the fund group it changes the data for all of time which makes our ending balances for PY not match beginning balances in terms of audit categories.
Right now we are closing the memorial funds completely and opening a new scholarship fund but this has us lose the donor/donation history for the fund.

General Ledger Search- From>To Accounts
When you go into the General Ledger search... it would be beneficial to have a from account number and to account number to get a consecutive series of general ledger accounts.
Example GL 63000-65000.... it would show all the transactions for those accounts. It would be grouped by the GL with subtotals. Every accounting software I have used has had the option to pull a series of general ledgers like this.
This is not feasible with the new financial reports being released this month since the general ledger would have the description on it. We use the descriptions a lot and would like to be able to search using the description for a group of GLs. Financials do not have the capability to have descriptions with them, so therefore this would have to be done in the general ledger area.
I do believe everyone using CSuite could easily benefit from this.

Report on 1st time donors to a fund, including fund advisors
As a community foundation, we would like to know who are the first time donors to our operating fund on an annual basis. While we can run a donor report with information on individual donors (like first date and last date of donations), we receive a lot of donations from institutional funds (Fidelity, Schwab, etc) and it isn't possible to bring fund advisor information into that report.

990 tax class
Auto populate the 990 newly created tax class field using Charity Check but allow for manual overrides..

This functionality was released on December 1st, 2021. Added a 990 report for Grants to Individuals. Grantee's that are individuals will be included in this report. Enhanced the 990 export to include the IRC Section Code and Grant Purpose. The IRC Section Code will be populated from the new Tax Class field that is user defined in Profile Types.

voucher description
It doesn't make sense that if I enter a description on a voucher, it doesn't show on a check register report. You should be able to enter a description that prints on the check and a fund statement or check register report without having to enter it multiple times. I have already entered the voucher with a description, why do I have to enter it in the "memo" when printing checks for it to show on my check register?

Color code outward facing fields
In an effort to keep us from changing a field that is outward facing PLEASE color code them all a certain color. It is difficult for us to keep track of which fields have an effect on the portals. Having them all a certain color would keep us from changing them unintentionally.

Campaign Credit card fees
Ability to link (preferably automatically) the credit card fees associated with a campaign ticket purchase to the campaign on the statement of activities.
This would provide more complete financial data related to a specific campaign/event

Grant- post by payment option
I'd like the option to allow grants to post by payment like we can for scholarships. For example, the grant committee grants $15,000 paid out over 3 years ($5,000 installments). We'd like the option to have the $5,000 come out of the fund when it is approved for payment, versus immediately.

Add ability to link Opportunity to a Profile that served as a referral
We would like to link the profile of the Professional Advisor and/or Firm who brought a donor to our organization within the Opportunity. Currently we are using a Custom Field (Text) but would like the ability to link the opportunity directly to the profile of the referral source.

Sandbox Permissions
When training new staff, we like to give them full permissions in the sandbox site so they can access everything and more easily see how their role fits in with other parts of our processes. However, every time we sync the sandbox site, these permissions are overwritten by our staff's more limited permissions in the live site. It would be great if there was a setting that would allow us to keep full permissions in the sandbox site even after syncing it. Thanks for considering!

Hate Groups, Extremist Groups
It would be very helpful to have Foundant flag groups deemed as hate groups, and/or extremist groups by using some type of source to notify users that this organization has been flagged when trying to create a grantee profile with a particular EIN, or doing the charity check in GuideStar.

Meal Requests with campaign
When you offer a meal choice in a campaign, we would like to see registering guests only have the choice to make one meal selection and the meal selection should be mandatory. Currently, it appears guests can select more than one meal choice or they can completely skip that step and still register.

Multiple contacts for Organizations
It would be helpful if we could enter multiple contacts for an organization based on the inquiry (director, grants, treasurer, etc.). As of now, we either have to put additional contacts in a note or create multiple profiles for the same organization in order to have multiple contacts.

Custom Field in Tasks
We would like to be able to add custom fields in Tasks. One data point we have tracked in Salesforce is whether an activity/task is a "quality contact". For example forwarding an event invitation might be a task, but forwarding a news story and including a special message that encourages someone to consider making a grant might be a "quality contact" task. We use "quality contacts" to measure our client relations team success. If we could add a check box to Tasks for "quality contacts" that would be great.

Event Ticket Receipt - Guest Information Fields
Guest information fields should be available to the the event ticket receipt template. This is especially important when offering multi-unit tickets so that ticket holders can have record of which guests were included in the ticket.

Tasks viewable to everyone who opens a profile
Thank you for adding Tasks to individual Profiles! Can you please make ALL TASKS visible on a profile regardless of who created or the assigned person? It's helpful to see all past due/current/future tasks on a profile regardless of who they are assigned to.

Numbers Formatting
Two recommendations: 1) when entering in a money amount greater than 3 digits, it would be great if a comma automatically appears. When I enter gifts with many zeros, it is difficult for me to know if it is correct without the thousands separator. 2) when entering dates and phone numbers, it would be great if the format was automated...automatically putting in "/" for date separators and advancing automatically...and "( )" for telephone numbers so that all phone numbers are formatted the same automatically.

Full integration of cloud-based, third party billing responsible for acquiring vendor/grantee sensitive data
In an effort to move to more ACH payments, we would like an integration of a cloud-based, third party billing service. At our foundation, we have no interest in collecting our vendor and grantee's sensitive bank information and storing and entering it ourselves. That is why we believe a successful third-party billing option is the best way to go. We have heard that CSuite is experimenting with Bambora, however, upon our research, we find that this may not completely suit all our needs. Has CSuite looked into working with another billing service, like bill.com, for instance? If not, I suggest it as an idea for immediate recommendation.

Export to “Microsoft Word Document” instead of “Microsoft Word 97 – 2003 Document”
"Microsoft Word 97 - 2003" file format is not compatible with Microsoft SharePoint. In this file format, you can’t use the “autosave” function, and multiple people are not able to collaborate in the document concurrently. Updating format to "Microsoft Word Document" will likely improve user workflows.
(Same with Word and Excel files in GLM/SLM. Will post idea there too)
